News The CW renews Arrow, Flash, Legends, Supergirl , Black Lightning, Supernatural

It'd be easier on my viewing schedule if they dropped one or two. I have trouble doing it myself even if I probably should.

I had sorta expected Arrow to be dropped by now..... I mean, I still love it, and watch it with great pleasure. But it's also kinda over its high point, I feel. Can't say anything about The Flash, only on season 2 there, and haven't even started Legends and Supergirl!

It's nice to know we have a non-cartoon show that is immortal. "Supernatural" will never end!! Which is great because the show is still lots of fans and the brothers and Castiel never seem to age. Other than Sam's hair you can hardly tell the difference from the early years to the current years.

As stated, not a surprise on these renewals. I'm extra glad cause apparently Constantine is now for sure joining Legends of Tomorrow. I'm going to need at least one, if not a two-parter, episode featuring Swamp Thing. Hoping Wally stays on board cause he's better here than on Flash now I feel.

I'm starting to feel the need to wrap up Arrow. The teaser for next week is yet again for the, what 3rd or 4th time now, John and Oliver coming to blows over 'X'. That card is played out. Also, with the discord so strong I don't know where they plan to go to keep my highly interested. I'm guessing another dose of newbies for Team Arrow. Which Batman/Firestorm/DCU characters will they pull from now?

Flash has rebounded this year with more fun Barry back. Dibny has been a great addition and I hope for more development with him. Still, the resolution of Barry killing Devoe was poorly done. Hoping the season finishes strong.

Supergirl, I'm behind a few episodes on not sure what's current. I've just gotten to the reveal of REIGN which was the winter finale I think. Overall the season has been better than last. The trip to Mars was a great treat. The teasing of Legion is fun even though I've never been a fan. Saturn girl isn't like I recall, she's much more brunette this time around.

Black Lightning, I only saw the premiere episode, the rest is waiting me in the DVR.
iZombie is one I really like so curious how the bubble plays out for it. Even though it's not part of the interconnected CWverse of shows I'd still love a cameo pop in visit by Legends. It'd totally work and not really ruin anything.

Nice.

I'm sure that when the time comes for Arrow and Supernatural to have a final season it will be announced well in advance. They'd be silly not to make a big deal out of sending off their longest running show, and the show that launched the network's most successful shared universe.

No, (not necessarily...) they'll make a decision on The 100 in May after seeing how well it does when it returns.

Has the CW ever made a final season for any show? Smallville had a proper ending, right?

Quite a few of their shows have.
Does this mean that the 100 is in trouble?
The new season hasn't even started yet, so they'll probably wait until after at least a couple episodes have aired to make a decision. They're also expanding to their schedule to include Sundays next season so that probably helps it's chances some.

The problem with Black Lightning taking part in an Arrow-verse crossover is really about location. BL is shot in Atlanta, while the Arrow-verse shows are shot in Vancouver. It's still not impossible to include him, but that is probably the main issue.

Depends on how they do it. They could just fly selected cast members out for a week to either location, or even use digital compositing here and there. I would suppose it would depend on budget, cost-effectiveness of either option, and available scheduling; but I guess we'll see next season.
