In ST09 and STID, the nacelle caps were unlit except when the ship was at warp. "Beyond" was the first time they were glowing all the time, like they did in the shows.
I'm sorry about asking this again, but you're sure you're talking about the 8.5-inch XL Edition USS Enterprise NX-01 and not the 7-inch Enterprise NX-01 Refit Special Edition?
yessir, received the XL enterprise-E on september 2 and the XL NX-01 on october 27. i know this because i took photos to share with you guys the day they arrived and the photos are labeled with those dates.

did you subscribe to the XL ships? i’ve just been pre-ordering them and they’ve arrived on or even before the release dates, as was the case with the NX-01. we’ll see if the same is true of voyager, which i broke down and ordered (despite earlier statements here regarding its lack of screen accuracy and transparent parts).
actually, the discovery ships will be my first subscription. concerned i’ll be experiencing the same holdups you guys who have been subscribers to the full collection have been dealing with. cherrypicking has worked so well in the past.
btw looks like folks on the fan group facebook page are starting to receive their XL voyagers...

No. With the exemption of a buy or two from eBay, I've bought all my Eaglemoss ships from my local comic book store. And I mean all: regular issues, special issues, XL issues, the books, the Nostromo, and the upcoming Discovery models. The comic store uses the PREVIEWS ordering book and form and I can search and pre-order what I like and want only. The owner orders the Eaglemoss starships just for me and keeps them reserved for me. Unfortunatelly I usually get them a little later the most of you guys here.

so before mine arrives, does anyone know how to remove the black lines? i assume they're printed decals and they are highly inaccurate.
oh and i just received notice that mine has shipped, in the USA too.

Sorry to jump in so late to a discussion, but is there a yearly subscription to this service? Or is it always monthly? This seems neat, but I prefer to have yearly subscriptions since its easier to keep up with plus they're slightly cheaper

What is a yearly subscription - getting everything in one pack once a year?
With the Eaglemoss sub, you pay for and receive a shipment of two ships per month.
Sorry for the confusion! I Meant you'd pay for the year of service in advance, and then receive them the same as if you had paid a monthly subscription. Im not completely against a monthly subscription, but it's nicer to manage yearly ones.
Thank you for the input! I'll likely give the monthly subscription a go for a while then, that way I can cancel whenever I'd like.
Got the ringship Enterprise yesterday (which was kinda weird in itself, because last week the newsagent said it would be available January 3rd, but no, there it was yesterday). I like the size and the details on the outside of the rings, but the lack of any real detail on the front pod is really irksome. Especially with that price. As is the case with many Eaglemoss models, it's really annoying when you look at the detailed renders in the magazine, but find just smooth surfaces on the model. Kind of a disappointment this one.
I also finally ordered the XL NX-01 when they had a sale on the site the other day. Plus the third Designing Starships book and the glow-y Defiant. Looking forward to getting those.

Erm... is the enterprise C concept ship available in the UK? I can’t find it but have seen some photos online and on the memory alpha page it says what is in the magazine (that’s usually how I can tell that somethings has been released).

It seems to have been shipped only to Forbidden Planet stores, and even then not all of them. No one seems to know why but those who've seen it have obviously picked it up while they could.
My nearest FB is a way away, I'm not going all the way there just in the off chance they have it. I'll wait until the website updates. As there's a sale on until 2nd January it won't be till at least then
I got notice my XL Voyager was shipping Friday so I expect it to arrive next weekend or early the 2nd week of January. No idea how to remove the lines but if you find out how I’d be interested to know. Looks like someone on the fan Facebook page did it but I can’t read the comments since I don’t have an account.
Also, this weekend I got two specials, the ringship and K7. I preordered the ringship through Eaglemoss before they put a disclaimer that subscribers would get it & I just never bothered to cancel it. I’d agree with others that the lack of detail on the front pod is disappointing but otherwise it’s a solid model. My wife stated “that’s the weirdest looking one you’ve gotten yet.”
K7 I saw in a local comic shop and picked it up. They were doing buy 1 get a 2nd item half off but I didn’t see anything else I didn’t have & I don’t buy duplicates. Haven’t opened it up yet.
I’ve decided since Eaglemoss US is so behind in the specials I’m just buying them separately and will just cancel when I get the notice through my subscription since they’ve told me they can’t accelerate those.
I'm starting to think that's the way to go in the future. I'm just afraid that if my adjust my account to discontinue specials, they're going to royally screw up the base subscription, either through incompetence or in retaliation. I have zero faith in their ability to remain aboveboard at this point.
