Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 3

I'd love if they brought Nyssa on board, but it's admittedly a long shot considering her skill set isn't exactly unique, and Sara already has a new love interest.

Yeah... but Nyssa is mysterious,

I just had a couple of other thoughts:

What about Brooks? He sort of become dead-weight and his talent is way underutilized, and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to Red Rover him to Legends. Plus it's friggen Jimmy Olsen as Guardian. That screams "Legend."

Also, I think we all agree the Red Tornado animation in E-X was way better then the one on Supergirl a few years ago. I think he'd make for a perfect "visual" (for lack of a better term) replacement for Firestorm. And, I could be totally out to lunch here, but it seems to me that one of the many animated shows (or maybe I read it some where) there was a connection between Ivo and Marrow?

In the comics they have a rivalry/partnership and co-created the android Tomorrow Woman to infiltrate the JLA.

Agent Sharp or Alex Danvers?

Sharpe. Alex and Sara agreed it was a one time thing and that they're both ready to look for someone more permanent out there.

Alex was just a one night stand. I mean, if they'd actually date, that would be the mother of all long distance relationships.

On the other hand, if Cisco and Gypsy can make it work... ;)

Yeah... but Nyssa is mysterious,

When Alex and Sara were talking about irreconcilable differences between them and Maggie/Nyssa I think the writers forgot that the stumbling block standing between Sara and Nyssa was the League of Assassins, which doesn't exist anymore... :techman:

Sara never actually said anything about a stumbling block, she just said "I have a 'Maggie'" and she thought about going back to her all the time. I'd imagine that what keeps Sara away from Nyssa is her responsibility to the Legends. Although that doesn't explain the 6-month gap when she was home in Star City working at Sink Shower & Stuff. We know, according to Slade, that Nyssa made it off Lian Yu before it exploded. (I'd still like to know if Sara was working with Team Arrow during that time, and if not, why not.)

In the context of the conversation I took "a Maggie" as a shorthand for something that includes an insurmountable(ish) obstacle.

I just took it to mean someone she loved dearly and wished she could still be with, whatever the reason. She was just saying she could empathize with what Alex was feeling, not that their relationship issues were identical in every particular.

It will never happen but J'onn would be a great addition to the show. He is underused on Supergirl. It would be useful to have a shapeshifter on a time travel show.

If he's marginalized on a show with one superheroine (and an underused alien in J'onn), it stretches believability to think James would function in a more populated super-environment.

Figure out Jonn's life expectancy, and then time it so that he dies of natural causes 50 years before shit gets bad on Mars.

Nonsense. The scope of the two shows is completely different.
What is nonsense is thinking a character pushed into a corner on a show with room for individual development will suddenly blossom on a crowded series. Ensemble series rarely flow without some character being shortchanged in one way or another, and since the showrunners have always screwed up the James character, no one would expect him to turn into something better on another series. He would be Worf going from TNG to DS9 all over again.

How is that a bad thing?

Because Worf moved to DS9 and was lost in the shuffle--never as significant a character as he was on TNG. James is even lower on the totem pole, and aside from a gimmicky "look who is coming to Legends" episode or two,he would be as marginalized as ever.
