It just moved one step closer (again) to becoming a reality.

Now I understand the first one wasn't considered much of a gem (despite me honestly loving it, but I can admit it's mostly bad save for Frank Langella's awesome performance and a few other good moments) but I'm not sure the director of Blade 3 is the guy to start this new franchise. Let alone some of his writing credits.

I guess it really depends if they embrace the absurdity of the universe or if they try to give us something less fun and "deconstructed".

Where will they find another chemical engineer/model to play Adam/He-Man?

It's true, there aren't a lot of black belt engineers breaking into action movie roles these days.

I wouldn't mind if The Rock played He-Man.

I'm trying to picture The Rock in a blond wig but it just does not compute. :D

Forget the wig and get Jason Momoa.

I bet it would. The only reason they couldn't use him in the first movie was effects and budget couldn't make it work. So we got Gwildor. But now, that character would be too easy to do.

The '80s one didn't even have Prince Adam in it. :D

No budget for Adam, too? :p
They had to pay for Tom Paris and Courtney Cox, you know!

He's too old for the role, but he's charismatic enough. Interesting idea.

    The Rock for Man-At-Arms maybe?
He-Man can be an unknown surrounded by bigger names.

He would be the wrong type for the part.

And he was perfect for Aquaman? :p

His Conan wasn't too far off, at least Conan had brown hair and eyes.

I'm bit surprised to see them possibly giving the director job to Goyer, I didn't think anybody had liked the other things he's directed.

With everything I've read about it and from what you can infer from watching Blade Trinity seemed like such a toxic clusterfuck of a production I'm not sure that Goyer can handle a big gig.

Conan's eyes are always described as being grey.

This is Hollywood. You know, where you just kind of fail upwards.
