"Cadet" Tilly, Kobayashi Maru, and the 25th Century

My insistence (weak hypothesis, which I'm already planning on mugging) that she is very young, has nothing to do with the age the actresses' body, and everything to do with the character's personality.

She's a twit.

Less of a twit if she is younger, and more of a twit if she is older.

I guess Tilly is playing younger, problem is the actress looks like a 30 something Soccer Mom.

So it comes off as awkward.

Or maybe there's a actor in her 30s playing a character in her 20s.

Because TV.
What you mean actors play characters that really aren't the same age as they are physically???!!! No. ;)

{I agree that despite the actual age of the actress - the character Tiilly is early 20ies at best. And if anyone doubts they use 30 somethings to play younger characters, go watch Bevely Hills 90210<---- That show would have better been titled Thirttysomething. )

Snoring.
The actor and the producers have said she's not autistic, ADD or anything else.
A missed opportunity to showcase a different form of human diversity that is still stigmatized. Even the Power Rangers movie beat Trek to the punch on this.

No one beat anything to the punch because no one was racing to it, nor is that really the point of the show.

Where was it stated Kirk was 17 when he entered in the prime tiimeline (just curious as I always figured he was between 18 - 20)?

The official Mike Okuda timeline accepted by Paramount. Kirk entered the Academy in 2250 and was a graduate in the Class of 2254. Kirk also met Gary Mitchell while at the Academy and their first encounter was 15 years prior to the second TOS pilot, and that meeting was when Gary was attending a class taught by student instructor Kirk.

Most of that is speculation by the Okudas, of course. Nothing in the episodes says that the first encounter was when Gary attended the class, say. And nothing much forces Kirk to enter at 17 as opposed to 18 or 19 - it only gets a tight fit to have both the "several years later" Ensign Kirk and the Lieutenant Kirk before we run into later, harder Kirk bio milestones.

So that means Kirk was a Lieutenant early on in the Academy? If Mitchell meets Kirk 15 years prior to WNMHGB, that means it's 2250 or 2251.
