Sweet fancy Moses. What is wrong with you people who keep complaining over and over and over and over again. Time loop? I feel like I'm stuck in one with you people who insist on not only watching a show you don't like, but then expending energy on letting everyone know about it.

It's frigging old, folks. Really, really old.

I've seen more heroin addicts walk away from heroin than Trekkies walk away from Trek. Think about that. There are actually people who literally can't bring themselves to stop watching a tv show.

My present theory is the last few episodes were done out of some executive's terrified belief fans wouldn't accept Star Trek: Discovery was Star Trek.

LOL! Yeah, I'm sure that's it. (It wasn't)

I like Barron Grimes' ship. Great design.

I was not interested in ths story at all. I have to come to terms with Harry Mudd being a person who willing commits mass murder to get what he wants. We are a long way from the Mudd of TOS.

It's great that we can tie locations down now, even if it sucks that some of the errors of the soure material have now entered the canon.

They just should have played Animal Collective at the party. Half of their repertoire sounds like pop music a few hundred years hence anyway.

I am not saying that humans would not party anymore. Of course they would. My issue is with the music, lighting etc... The party looked too much like a party from today rather than from the future.
How do you know it’s not a “period” party?

Most fun I’ve had so far. Laughed out loud in a number of places. The guy is playing Mudd very well. And Stella makes an appearance. :techman:

And Discovery's crew will be able to back-trace how Harry defeated their security protocols and make it much harder for him to repeat.

Maybe they incorporate the time loop technology into the spore drive which will allow them to time jump as well as spatial jump. :wtf:

Yep, that's the season 2 arc.

No.
The writing on The Americans is great. Or The Crown. Or Transparent. Or Handmaiden's. Or Thrones. Or PoI. Or Stranger Things. Or House of Cards. Or Orange Black. Dexter. BreakingABQ. Or a 100 other examples I could list.

This is sophomoric shit.
As much as I dislike STD, having just rewatched TOS "Spock's Brain", I can say that this franchise as a whole doesn't always make sense.

So,
I think the party perfectly illustrates everything wrong with this show.

It's trying so hard not be "Star Trek." So it dresses itself up in club decor and music from the early 2000s. And has all the characters interact and speak like they were written by people who haven't been to a party since the early 2000s.
So, what you're saying is, "It's on fleek!"
