I also said I enjoyed the acting. But you felt the need to clip that part of the post out.
Yeah, I clipped that out because there is nothing wrong with that part. I'm calling you out on the part with the huge problem. So, yeah, there's a reason for that!

Another good episode.
The stuff with Tardigrade was good, I have to wonder if Saru might not have been so quick to brush off Burnham's concerns if they had come from someone else, like Stamets or Tilly. I really liked the way Stamets, Tilly and Burnham worked together here, they're starting to make a pretty good team. I was wondering, was it actually Saru intention for them to let Ripper go at the end?
Rain Wilson was great as Mudd, it will be interesting to see what happens when he pops back up.
Lorca definitely seemed to trust Ash to quickly, I really hope that was an act and he isn't going to just take him at his word. It's definitely very suspicious that he survived in such good shape for so long. I hadn't thought of the Voq thing, but there is quite a bit of real world evidence that does make it likely. Latif was originally announced to be playing "Kol" (according to Memory Alpha, the name was originally going to be given to the character who became Voq, before being given to the current Kol), the actor credited as Voq, Javid Iqbal, credited for DSC has no other credits, and he has not appeared in any promotional stuff or at any cons. There are two other people named Javid Iqbal on IMDB, who do have more credits, but if IMDB is to be trusted, neither of them are Voq. All of this is a bit suspicious to me.
It was nice to get to learn a bit about Lorca's backstory.

Out of principle, I respect freedom of speech and your right to express your opinion.

However, going to a BBS and intentionally making points to get entertainment out of creating discomfort to others who are simply trying to enjoy a show is pretty low (putting it politely). You are explicitly saying that you're getting your $10 worth by pissing people off. Not cool man.

Sorry, cultcross, I saw your post, but this type of self-admitted behavior has to be pointed out. It's an intentional "fuck you" to those enjoying the show. It's all about intent, and he's admitted to his intent.
I like the show a lot, but that said (IMO) expressing one's opinion (good or bad) on a BBS about the show/franchise is to be expected. If someone else's opinion on a show or aspect of a show bothers you when its different from your own means maybe you should avoid such BBSes.

I like and love a lot of stuff other people think are substandard or crap. In the end, if some TV show or film gives you enjoyment - who cares what others think? Are you watching the show for yourself, or for them? If it's the latter, I think that's more your issue.

Nothing put out for the entertainment of others is universally liked or hatred - you're going to see responses all along the spectrum. If you can only tolerate like minded comments to your own; you shouldn't be on a public BBS where you're going to see wildly different views.

Having a different view/take/opinion on something isn't always 'trolling'. There's man=y people who's opinions I disagree with on a wide variety of things discussed on this board; but I don't like them any less or think any less of them or their motivation for posting because our opinions differ and I enjoy discussing said differences. But that's me. :)

Reread my post and you'll see that's not the problem. I both respect and value diverse opinions. The problem is with the text that I quoted, and I explain why. It's the intention. I don't want to rehash it but read it again and you'll see my point. Spoilers: It's not because he has a different opinion. ;)

Speaking of which, if the tardigrade was capable of mushroom jumping, why did it not just leave Discovery ages ago?
Perhaps it was only capable of it when given a really fresh batch of the glowy stuff? And the other times when they gave it a batch, it was either injured, or, they also disoriented it with the transporter and then grabbed it with the nipple clamps of exquisite torture to drive the ship, so it didn't go anywhere on its own.

It appeared to me IIRC, that they had to bring down the ship's shields prior to a jump. So inside a shielded ship or containment field it might have been trapped.

Great episode!
Stamets and Saru and culber had good scenes.
And Stamets has a twin?
Or a evil clone from another dimension?

This felt more like a TOS episode than anything produced after 1969.
Maybe anything GOOD, but from the top of my head...

Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
In a Mirror, Darkly
Star Trek Beyond

felt like a TOS episode, particularly V.

Burnham isn't doing it for me either, her character isn't agreeable with me as either likable or hateable, just annoying. So is Tilly. The rest are growing on me though, even horrid looking silly typical Star Trek alien Saru is beginning to grow on me as a character. Still don't like him yet though, but his scenes are certainly better than earlier episodes.

I actually like virtually all the main Discovery crewmember characters more then her.

Also hi everyone! I'm new here.

So, if Tyler really is Voq, is the actor listed for Voq a red herring to throw us off, or is there actually a separate actor playing him? Voq, as we saw him in episodes prior to this one, doesn't look remotely like Shazad Latif, even under the layers of makeup and prosthetics. Or maybe Tyler isn't Voq, but another Klingon spy entirely, and the whole Voq sacrifice thing is still yet to be revealed. Or maybe Tyler is just Tyler! :D

Ok, I just saw the episode..... so, the Tradigrade is go away .... now, how the Discovery keep going on the spore drive on the show? Discovery seems have no value now.

No excessive aparitions of Burhman.
Good.

I like the Stamets character... I think that I've shall view the episode again, I don't see none "evil Stamets" kind of thing. Maybe I just missing that.

I love Tilly.
Talk dirty to me, Redhead <3

Harry Mudd??? ... meh.
