MLB 2017: The Yankees are dead, Yankees burn in hell

^That was a terrific game. Joe G. is being raked over the coals on WFAN and the newspapers. He was a good catcher and he's also a good manager. Pity the review call - or lack thereof - is going to haunt him.

Hendricks outduels Strasburg for a 1-0 series lead.

If the good Lester can show up tonight vs. Gonzalez, and the offense can do a little more, we could come back to Wrigley up 2-0.

I'm looking forward to that Cubs game (and not just because Lester was on my fantasy team this year). I'm sorry I missed out on Game 1 but the Indians/Yankees game just kept on going and going and going...

Your World Series pick? I had Indians/Dodgers at the start of the season and am not going to waver from it now.

Yeah, I think that's still going to shake out, and I have to give the edge to Cleveland, because that bullpen is fucking terrifying.

Still, coming home 1-1 ain't bad.

To an extent I agree with you, but I don't exactly have a ton of faith in a hobbled Arrieta to win a potential elimination game.

I dislike playoff rounds being prolonged unnecessarily. Red Sox/Yankees: "Why can't you just be a good boy and die?"

Yeah that ended about as expected. They weren’t going all the way, so may as well not drag us through any more...

This Cubs/Nationals game is crazy. Fantastic pitching duel that went scoreless for almost six innings until Kyle Schwarber committed a double error (after his outfielder cohorts fielded great catches earlier on). Nationals converted a double play from the outfield, but then just now they practically pulled a Major League with a pop-up landing in front of three fielders.

It's striking how similar the Nationals are to the Capitals when it matters. Washington postseason sports.

Where was the incoming wind for that one, damnit?! Russell clobbered the ball earlier in the game and it was caught. :scream:

Then the Cubs would've lost 1-0 instead of 5-0. If Strasburg really was sick, this was his "Jordan has the flu" moment. Here's hoping for another good game from Hendricks and a little damn offense vs. ""undecided".
