I find non Christians the most judgemental in my opinion and from my experience. Just the mean ones, but I've met some lovely generous Atheist people.

I'm definitely mean at the people who want to deny my gay and trans relatives the same freedoms I have without thinking twice. Those people can go fuck themselves.
I used to be more patient with people needing to grow and learn and blah blah.. but shit is getting too real.

I could share much worse things but I tend to not think about the past much.. it's the underlying dynamics that interest me because I talk to Christians every week who I like, but I can never talk freely with the way I would with anyone else. I would think it would bother Christians that people feel they have to tip toe around them or censor themselves. Years back I would go to varying churches, some good people, but always the expectation of fitting in and the withdrawal and seemingly fear? of people who don't. Really of all the social groups I've moved in the most uncomfortable ultimately.

That's adorable. Dealing with Christians has been an extremely negative aspect of my life. The few decent ones are either good in spite of their religion or are Christians in the sense they have a vague belief in Jesus and like Christmas.
What a tragic commentary on state of Christianity today.
I think a lot of Christians get bullied when it's not their fault other people have issues. It's up to Christians to offer compassion and to try and help but one can only do so much, the rest is on yourself. What *you* make of yourself.. becoming bitter is redundant.
Remember the Jesus people movement? Christianity needs another thing like that which sweeps away all the garbage and gets people excited about the good stuff. Something big and real. I'm expecting to see that in my lifetime.

lulz at Christians whining about getting bullied. There are Christians getting killed in other countries for being Christian. That's not happening in the US. On the other hand, Christians in the US are literally supporting the oppression of certain minorities. If they can't take criticism for that, then, again, lulz.
I wonder with Christians and how mean they are or aren't how it goes according to political views. Are liberal Christians very different than republican Christians?
I mean Martin Luthor King was a minister and I doubt he was a bad guy though I got to admit I have always wondered what his stance was on gays,abortion,drugs and etc? All I really know about him is his effort in leading the fight for Civil Eights but I'm not sure I have ever seen anything about him beyond that, other than some vague idea that he was sleeping with a white woman and J Edgar Hoover had a file on him.

I remember, as a teen, reading about the oppression Christians were facing in the U.S. From every kind of Christian news source, I was being told of the onslaught we were facing as Christians, and that we should be brave and bold in the name of Jesus. I remember being taught that the more people fought you, the more in line with Christ you were, the more righteous your cause. You were defending the Word of God.
Once I got out of the faith, I saw how astoundingly delusional it was.
If American Christians faced actual persecution they would never leave the house. So they whine about mean atheists and Target and act like they're heroes.

Don't forget they go and stuff their faces with chicken sandwiches because a millionaire had the courage to stand up to some gay people that he insulted.
