^ IIRC, all of Leia's scenes in Episode VIII are complete.
No, doing a lot of substance abuse will do that to you. People will be saying that about Carrie in the months to come, that her drug use was a contributing factor to this death. I really don't care about that anymore, all I know is that a great lady of the screen has gone just as she was starting up again. A woman whose portrayal of a princess redefined what such portrayals should be, and was a trailblazer in the industry she worked in. A woman who overcame addiction and bipolar disorder to help others with the same condition, and who talked about them in her books and live performance shows based on those books, a woman who became a script editor and also acted in other things besides Star Wars-that's what matters to me about Carrie Frances Fisher. Yes, things were hard for her in the '70's and '80's, but she came back-an incredible act for anybody to do.I guess being a teen and twenty-something celebrity in the late 1970's and 1980's was hard on the system.
Another underrated favorite of mine was Under The Rainbow with Carrie. I didn't even realize it had finally come out on DVD.
Time to get that one and enjoy.
Yeah, I thinking shooting was wrapped in the Summer but I'm not sure whether or not she'd done the ADR for it which could be problematic. Might even require a voice actress if the available audio isn't usable.^ IIRC, all of Leia's scenes in Episode VIII are complete.
