News Carrie Fisher dies

I can't imagine how hard it's going to be for Billie to watch Episode VIII - once it's released - since both she and her mom are in the movie.

May God's blessings go with you, Carrie, and with your family.

It has been a terrible year, hasn't it?

I learned yesterday that one of my favorite big wild cats - the cheetah - has suffered a major population crash. This beautiful cat is on the road to extinction.

Then I hear this news today. Do you think the next film will have a tribute to Carrie Fisher?
I just heard about that (the cheetah population crash) :(. It's horrible.

Probably.

RIP Carrie Fisher :(.

Boy this really sucks.

Also as someone turning 54 in 2017; it's scary to see a number of celebrities passing away at relatively 'young' ages; George Micheals, 53; Ricky Harris, 54; and now Carrie Fischer at 60. :(

I guess being a teen and twenty-something celebrity in the late 1970s and 1980s was hard on the system.

It's so surreal to see her in "Rogue One" as the young Princess then dying a week later

It was like her final performance left us remembering her as a young 19 year old.

(Even though she's still in episode 8)

Goddamn 2016.

This wasn't unexpected due to the heart attack, but it's still sad to hear. Carrie Fisher has been a part of my life in some way since childhood, and Princess Leia was one of my earliest heroes. It was such an iconic role. Fisher herself deserves praise for normalizing treatment for mental illness and addiction and not treating it as something to be embarrassed by and hidden away. She confronted it openly, and by doing so helped others with her example, even if those issues continued to hound her throughout life. She was always funny and insightful in interviews right up until the end, and she will be missed.

Rest in peace. :(

Sadly, the amount of CPR she received before getting a pulse wasn't a good sign and I really was expecting the worst. Still... I was holding out hope (no joke intended) she'd pull through.

Leia is one with the Force now and she will always be royalty to me.

I've never known a year like this for celebrity deaths. 2 days after George Michael. It's taking the piss.
