Infraction for trolling. Comments to PM.
Melania is dignified Moochelle hates the country she is First Lady of. Calling her an ape might be crossing the line but she no she isn't and wasn't dignified or respectable or commendable. Melania whether you want to admit it or not is also much more beautiful period.

If that's offends anyone's racial sensibilities than I politely suggest they consult a polling firm regarding what society deems attractive or better yet ask any man 18 to 70 who's more pretty? I bet the name will end with Trump.

This isn't the comments section at Breitbart or Stormfront. Take that shit elsewhere.

Hey news we are getting here is that someone has quit the Trump team, and that there is a lot of infighting..... Drama, drama drama.. Just had this on our evening news but they didn't mention who quit and why.

Here is washingtonpost article on the subject. Basically, Rogers left because of his ties to Chris Christie. Christie is on Trump's naughty list for not being supportive enough post-Hollywood Access tape and for previously prosecuting the father of Trump's son-in-law. Rogers was also handlng transition on the national security side, and Trump has been having trouble filling those spots. Most of the top Republican national security policy experts signed Never-Trump letters, and it appears that the transition team is more interested in settling grudges and rewarding loyalists than finding qualified people for those jobs.
The bloodletting in President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team that began with last week’s ouster of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie escalated Tuesday with new departures, particularly in the area of national security, as power consolidated within an ever-smaller group of top Trump loyalists.

Former congressman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) announced that he had left his position as the transition’s senior national security adviser. Rogers, a former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and the leading candidate for CIA director, was among at least four transition officials purged this week, apparently because of perceived ties to Christie.

Pat Nixon's stash of illicit Soviet porn was what kept the President going during Watergate. I'm not saying that's a fact, but if you do your research you'll notice that Soviet porn sales went dramatically down after the summer of 1974.

Wow very dramatic indeed.

A lot of what you just posted there is rhetoric and bullshit.

The current incarnation of lefties shout down at people, are far too quick to be offended, are hypocrites when it comes to inclusion and tolerance, aren't interested in debate, think that people that disagree with them are stupid and unintelligent, generally hysterical and looking for something to be outraged over, more likely to resort to violence and property destruction if they don't get their way, and call everything under the sun racist/homophobic/misogynistic even when that isn't the case. I mean, safe spaces.

The moderates have basically abandoned the left, all that really remains right now is the far left. Talk about an inconvenient truth.

Sad!

From my point of view pretty much everything you have said there is rhetoric, bullshit and uninformed opinion passed off as fact.

Speaking purely for myself, and you and others are free to call me whichever name you deem appropriate, but you're damn right I still get offended by racism and bigotry, it is becoming more and more mainstream now that people are now deliberately ignoring it, or worse, condemning it (there's that inconvenient truth again).

What evidence do you have for claiming that the left "more likely to resort to violence and property destruction if they don't get their way,"

Gasp ! surely that's not more rhetoric ?

I've really no idea what you consider the far left but I'm fairly sure we vastly differ in our interpretations.

As for no interest in debate, you didn't actually answer my question so I'll repeat it

The 'current incarnation' of liberals and lefties, at their core, want to see a fairer world, where everyone is treated equally and with fairness.
What are your reasons for finding that disagreeable ?

Also, given that Trumps campaign was full to the brim with racism and bigotry, had the full support of The KKK, to name but one extremist group, and is now with the appointment of Bannan to his administration seemingly continuing in the same manner.
Then can you see, even a little, where the claims of racism are coming from ?

I have no issue with immigrants, I just think that they should come to this country legally.

They would if they could. The system is set up in a way that makes it unnecessarily difficult for those without means to come to the US legally.

You obviously don't know many, or any, undocumented immigrants. Or much about what they experience. Or the forces that compel them into taking the steps they do. No one wants to be an illegal immigrant. Many are forced into it despite their best intentions because our system is seriously messed up.

That was the most intellectually lazy post I have read from you in ages, @Garak. How exactly is anybody supposed to argue with somebody whose opinion is so lazy that he just dismisses a whole group of people ("the current incarnation of lefties") without any nuance or respect for the lefties he has seen on this site for years.
You know full well that many of us are happy to discuss things and I have treated you with respect for years. Claiming all of us are like what you just described doesn't even offend me because it is just an incredibly asinine thing to say. The irony is wonderful, though. You claim there are no moderates left and then you make a post that generalizes, utterly lacks nuance, and is the very opposite of "moderate".
Dismissing people who have very good reasons for why a Trump presidency can potentially be a disaster as "hysterical" does not impress anybody either. Again I can't even be offended because I cannot take a post seriously that completely rejects any notion of nuance and complexity.
Try and do better next time, @Garak. I know you have it in you.

People who have seen me and other "lefties" post here, know that we have been happy to ask ourselves what went wrong. I also did point out that it's regrettable that, at times, we can come across like an arrogant elite for example. And that we need to make sure not to leave too many people behind when we progressively run ahead. And that we need to address people's concerns instead of belittling them and then leaving those groups to right-wing populists.

But I don't see any point discussing any of these things with you if that is going to be your attitude. I have no time to constantly keep replying to intellectually lazy posts that fail to acknowledge nuance and complexity.

And when you have millions of people who didn't, how draconian do you want to get in removing them?
As I've said earlier in this thread, I think it is unrealistic to deport every single illegal immigrant. However, I think more steps should be taken to prevent it. Also, I think that if one is caught, they should receive the necessary punishment. I also think that sanctuary cities need to be stopped.

Mutiny and insubordination is on the Presidential horizon.

Think Picard taken over by an evil entity and the bridge crew gets wise to it, except the White House is Picard and governmental agencies on down are the bridge crew. Not sure who the crazy, rogue Admiral is yet.

Which steps?

Also, I think that if one is caught, they should receive the necessary punishment.

What punishment?

Stopped how?

These are ideological positions, not policy proposals. What results would satisfy you?

1. Which steps?

2. What punishment?

3. Stopped how?

1. Fixing the immigration process to be quicker and allow more people to come in this country or making it harder to come into this country illegally.
2. Whatever the necessary punishment is in the scenario.
3. By having the government not give any funding to them until they've deported their illegal immigrants.
4. The result that satisfies me is ending illegal immigration.

No, I don't know any illegal immigrants. It's a black and white issue, either you're with the law or you're in violation of the law.

They would if they could. The system is set up in a way that makes it unnecessarily difficult for those without means to come to the US legally.
I do agree that the system needs to be fixed, but the solution to fixing it is not breaking the law.

1. Fixing the immigration process to be quicker and allow more people to come in this country or making it harder to come into this country illegally.

Sounds reasonable.

2. Whatever the necessary punishment is in the scenario.

That doesn't answer the question, though.

3. By having the government not give any funding to them until they've deported their illegal immigrants.

Cool, then I encourage the people who live in those cities not to pay any federal taxes, since their own government wants to likewise punish them.

4. The result that satisfies me is ending illegal immigration.

And what if those measures ended up with the situation we have now, with 11 million undocumented immigrants still in the country?
