Do you honestly believe it isn't insulting to force others to live by your standards because you think yours are superior?
I do not think I am superior to other people, but I just do not agree with abortions (unless the mother or child will die or in cases of rape or incest) when there are more humane options, like adoption. I do not believe that I have forced my views on anybody, I just have said what I think on an issue.

I think it should be up to the woman, she is the one who has to live with it. It shouldn't be up to others, especially not the government.

Do you guys not get the concept of percentages or something? It's not an all or nothing zero sum game. The existence of a large block of racist voters supporting Trump does not mean all Trump supporters are racist.

The man espoused (repeatedly) racist policies. You (figurative you, at least) voted for him. You supported him. What else would you call someone who supported racism?

It may not be why you liked they guy. But bigotry wasn't a deal breaker for you. You were fine with some level of racism in exchange for whatever you did find important. You still accepted it. You bought it along with everything else he represents, because he is indivisible.

This is the undeniable truth of the matter here. What that means, I leave to you.

Expressing your opinion here isn't forcing your views on anyone, but seeking to make a law based on your views would be.
As the Awesome Possum just said, the decision should be made by a woman and her physician. I would hope that, in some circumstances, the opinion of the potential baby's father would also be considered, but that are plenty of situations in which that would be inappropriate.

I gotta say I'm happy today oh yes I'm happy today in Jesus Christ I'm happy today I'm happy today oh yes I'm happy today!

Nanananananananana hahahah We win democrats(and those liberals lose).

The Country is Ours!

I'm exulted and giddy about the election!

I've got to ask: Are you really as young as you sound?

As I've thought about it, big corporations may end up saving the day to some degree. They won't want the government to take too much money out of the economy, which might end up saving the ACA in some form and programs for the poor. They will pressure those folks that depend on corporate contributions to not totally rip the government apart.

I hope.

It really shows how little they think of women. They aren't capable of making decisions about their body and they deserve less rights than a fetus. Of course once it's born, they don't care about it. It's just another leech draining their tax dollars.

The hypocrisy of the Right to Life movement is sobering. Maybe they should actually work with women to explore the best ways to prevent unwanted pregnancies to begin with.

But, that would make Jesus cry... or something.

You may not a bigot, but you can still be racist. You can actually *vote* for one black man (because he's not like 'the others') and still be a bigot. Voting is not a car wash for your soul. It can stain you though.
What a load of crap. No racist or bigot would vote for Obama. Period. By their very nature skin color would have disqualified him in their view from public office.

Trump campaigned as a bigot.
And here comes the insufferable left wing dogma that dominated my 98 Rock for so many weeks...

You may not think Mexicans are rapists, but that isn't a deal breaker for you. You voted for him anyway. He's promised to execute polices in line with his bigotry. That's systemic racism, racially biased law.
He didnt say all mexicans are rapists. Not one time.

So yes, you support racist policies by de facto. You can't say "I only voted for the non racist part of Trump......

Hate to burst your bubble but I didn't vote for either one of them. Ive said that MANY TIMES both before and after the election. Neither one deserved my vote.

In the '50s, we were warned of the emerging religious right by Goldwater, who couldn't stand them. We paid no attention to him, just as we didn't pay any attention of Eisenhower's warning of the military industrial complex. And here we are today, the religious right got their man in office and own half of Congress and we know all about the military industrial complex.

Redneck America is in it's prime now.

I can only imagine that you have avatars and sigs turned off or you would hopefully see my pro-Hillary avatar and my anti-Trump sig, the Trump supporter I was quoting on ignore or you'd get the context under which I was making my remarks, and have rarely visited Miscellaneous and TNZ and any political thread to know that I have been strongly anti-Trump throughout (and prior to) his campaign and a dirty hippie liberal from Commiefornia. But I still can't see how you read the rest of that post and thought I was a Trump supporter.

Other than that massive misinterpretation, I agree with your general point about Trump voters, regardless of whether their primary motivation for voting for him was bigotry or the loss of manufacturing jobs, were willing to excuse the rampant bigotry of the candidate and his surrogates and supporters. It's something they should own up to and fight now that they've won instead of denying it or else their other valid concerns about their economic status will be overlooked in all the hateful rhetoric.

So folks believe the state should force a woman to give birth....
As I've said, if one of them will die or it is the result of rape or incest, I would support abortion. But I think that if there is nothing wrong with it, it has the right to life, and if they don't want it, they can put up for adoption.

So you claim the right of the state of ownership over a person's body. Doesn't seem very American to me.

Or the government can create an environment (education, availability of contraceptives) that would decrease the number of unwanted pregnancies to begin with. Women shouldn't be shamed for being sexually active. Which happens quite a bit in our culture. You want abortions to go down, start treating women like they are human beings and capable of making decisions that are best for themselves.

There are ways to decrease abortion that doesn't require banning abortion.
