Anyone still around from my era?

Hi folks. I wasn't sure where to post this so forgive me if this is the wrong place. I haven't posted on this forum for around... oh, I guess it must be about ten years, and I wondered if anyone was still around from my time here. I used to be a regular on this here forums, but after finding the love of my life I kind of faded from view. Things have been tough for me in the last year or so and I was looking to rekindle a few old friendships and, you know, just talk about life, love, heartbreak and of course Star Trek.

Indeed. Time flies. I've been here for nearly 14 years, and I can still remember the first day I joined.

Gosh, I've missed you! How ya been? So who else from the old crew is still around? Shameless? DsZ? Vash? Crash? Blackdog? I'm sure I'm forgetting loads of people.

As for Johi, I have no idea. I assume she's okay... at least I hope she is. I won't go into all the details but we'd been going through some difficult times for the last couple of years and she finally decided to cut her losses and end it with me just prior to Christmas last year. I was devastated. She was (and still is) everything to me and I'm not coping well with losing her. That's really the reason I ended up back here. I was reading through all our old posts and reminding myself of the good times. I still love her so very much.

*hugs* There are still a few of us old guard around. I think a lot of them hang out in the Admirals' Lounge or just lurk these days (as I do).

I got a job in late 2007, working for the Civil Service, which caused me to intermittently drop off the face of the Web as well. I'm doing IT development, as you might expect.

Sorry to hear about you and Johi - honestly I thought you'd eloped and started a family or something when you even vanished from LiveJournal. It's none of my business so I won't pry if you don't want me to - but my private message inbox is there if you need a target to scream at or anything. Break-ups are never easy, particularly not when you've been with someone as long as you were with her - that much I do know, even if I've never been romantically involved with anyone.

Are you still living in the UK? Some of your posts are at 2 or 3AM UK time so I wasn't sure if that was because you'd moved abroad, or because you had insomnia or what.
