And perhaps most importantly for donors and press, that behind the scenes of all the shell corporation stuff is Alec.

I noticed in one of the pictures Alec sitting in the Captain's chair in the empty studio with a ring on the floor showing where the bridge set used to be.
I wonder if they totally scrapped the bridge set to make room for clients to use the space (assuming any show up)- if so that says a lot about if they think a Axanar film might be made at all...
Alec sitting in his unfinished captain's chair all alone in the middle of an empty studio is a perfect image for this entire debacle.
As stated, it's "These are the Voyages" author Marc Cushman, aka porno writer/director Cash Markman, hence the "Cash" joke. Alec ran the second Kickstarter campaign for that series of books. A portion of the money brought in went to Axanar.

Oh yeah, I agree AP is small potatoes, but looked at through the racketeering lens, the whole damn Axanar campaign has been one big money-laundering exercise. I've reported on several RICO trials and prosecutors were targeting some really big-time crooks with that law. As the old saying goes, you don't go rabbit hunting with an elephant gun.

I just received another notice for a 2nd class action suit over the Facebook IPO. I'm not sure how many of the donors would even know how to take steps in starting a class action suit or if they even would care about the $5 - $100 bucks that didn't work out. I never bought into the whole Anaxar thing, so my interest is zero. My concern is for the rest of the fan films.
I wouldn't know how to start the process either but I'd gather that a group of donors would have to get together and contact legal council willing to work on the case, decide who was at fault (Anaxar, the funding platform or both) and set a court date.
That's just a layman's viewpoint, maybe someone with a better legal education (hint hint) could go over the initial steps of this process on their podcast.
If you're going to rent out the studio, shoot Blazing Axanars with Rick Moranis as Dark Spandex. Get four properties suing you and Industry Studios at once.
I'm sure any donor - even the ones who have been brainwashed - would be interested in knowing what's being filmed at the studio their hard earned dollars created.
