Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

Recently Superman learnt what it was like to be unpowered, by expending all of his stored Solar energy in one explosive release.

Boom.

There was a crater, and he was naked.

Why detonate himself wearing clothing?

Clark must have spent a lot of time nude out doors, while he was sorting this new super ability out, and maybe he figured out that he liked the life of a natrualist?

Didn't Kara use the solar flare in an episode?

Kara just blasted the Tornado until she ran out of power.

The solar flare thingy in the the comics was Clark turning into a "Kryptonian" bomb.

Boom!

I've been watching the Supergirl repeats and I totally forgot they set up Bizarro to come back. I hope she does in season two. She was an interesting character.

That's two sites I've seen that have quoted Kreisberg's joking line as "there was a blood right," when he obviously meant "blood rite." Why do Internet news sites think they don't need proofreaders?

^^^ Great interview. Unfortunately he only confirms Superman's presence in the first 2 episodes.

That doesn't surprise me at all. It's a given that he's going to be an occasional guest at most, since this is Supergirl's show.

If that's all they've done so far, then it would probably be way to early to have anything from any of the later episodes set solidly enough to announce things like more Superman appearances. Even if we don't see him again this season, I find it hard to believe he'll never appear again.

I'm still hoping he'll be in the crossovers or maybe appear independently of Kara on some of the other shows.

Not gonna happen unless they establish that he has discovered how to do stuff that she hasn't, such as break dimensional barriers.

Note: My calculations on where they're at production-wise could be a little off, but even if said calculations are off, they'd at most be only a few days into filming Episode 5, which leaves them a few episodes to go until the big crossover, which apparently is going to start with a mostly self-contained story that will then lead Kara to Earth-1 and set up her adventures with Team Flash, Team Arrow and the Legends.

We don't even know yet whether we'll actually like this version of Superman the first time. Isn't it a bit premature to decide we want even more of him?

Anyway, from what I hear in interviews, it sounds like poor Diggle's going to have a hard enough time coping with the idea of one flying alien from a parallel dimension, let alone two.

When was the last time you sent a text message to see if your cousin's emotional disposition is fine?

Superman here, seems to be unlike Andrew Dice Clay.

Greg Berlanti did an interview.

On moving production to Vancouver:
It’s been challenging to figure out all the moving parts, moving the show across cities and across networks. But the reality is, I think the show is as strong as ever and it feels really seamless. People will not be able to tell that it’s not L.A. It feels like National City still. There are some new enhancements to the set that we were going to do anyway. Obviously some new characters are coming to the show that we would have brought in anyway to the second season. And so I’m really pleased.

On Cat Grant:
She’s recurring. We’re trying to get her for at least six episodes this year, and she’s in the first two episodes. We’re just trying to see when she can come back now.

On Cat Grant interacting with Superman:
I don’t want to give it away, but she has a special kind of dynamic with Clark Kent.

On the crossover:
We’re telling one cohesive story; “Supergirl” will participate, but the storyline doesn’t actively begin there. There are some characters who show up in her episode, but the story begins with “The Flash” episode and goes to “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”

That last bit is mildly disappointing, apparently it will only be a three-way.

He does say that she will be part of the crossover, just that story doesn't start there. The impression I've gotten is that she'll be the only one who interacts with characters from the other shows, so it sounds to me like we'll possibly be getting the set up for how she ends up on Earth-1 in Supergirl, but the actual main part of the overarching plot will then begin in The Flash. Maybe it will end with Barry crossing over and asking for Kara's help, and then we pick up in The Flash where we see why he needs her help.
