Ah,no.
Another light goes out.
Dunno why but the scene from "Silver streak",just Gene and Richard driving through the early morning mid-west,has always stuck with me.
RIP.
An unfortunate coincidence. Just this morning I watched my DVD of Silver Streak and had planned to watch the other three movies Wilder did with Richard Pryor the rest of the week. While watching the movie this morning it crossed my mind more than once that with Wilder in his 80's, it was a good thing that he was still with us.
Gene Wilder will be missed. The Producers, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are some of my favorite movies. Thanks for all the laughs doing what you loved to do, Gene. RIP.
Damn! I thought 2016 was finally giving us a break.
Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein & Stir Crazy are all-time favorites, and I remember seeing Silver Streak at the old Outdoor Theater. Which reminds me, I have to buy Stir Crazy on blu-ray.
Few celebrity deaths leave me truly heartbroken. This is one. I guess there's going to be one every year for me- last year it was Leonard Nimoy, the year before it was Robin Williams. And now Gene.
