Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

sure, the Berlanti version sticks out like a sore thumb. but one is a polished promotional image ... the other is a candid behind the scenes pic.

Pretty pointless comparing them for various reasons - one is on a TV budget and time-scale, the other is from a film costing a quarter of a billion dollars. It's not even costume design itself or the actor - the amount of CGI that goes on now - even to the actor's appearance itself makes it very hard to compare the two.

Even MoS behind the scenes images of Superman show a glaring difference of quality--

Well to be fair, the Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh Superman costumes would look pretty out of place in that pic too. The Snyder style is just a LOT more sleek and shiny and complex than anything we've ever seen before in DC.

Am I the only one who finds this conversation amusing? I laugh at the following two debates:

1. For years people complained about Superman's red trunks and now that they are no longer the norm people want them back.

2. If people talked about the ass and "other attributes" of a woman the way they are discussing Hoechlin's behind and "lack of codpiece" then wouldn't that just be inappropriate?-- so why is okay here?

We introduce the mother boxes to the tv universe.
She enters the Phantom Zone and comes out in the wrong place.
Another version of Cisco zaps her around universes.

A whole lot of ways to get her crossing universes without any Flashpoint.

I've said before -- just establish that the rift the Flash opened between their worlds is permanent. Establish immigration and cultural exchange between Central City and National City. Have a summit between Lilah for ARGUS and J'onn for the DEO as they negotiate the diplomatic and security details.

Padding and stuffing does not have feelings.

Do I have to be mindful of the sensitivities of his foam rubber trousers?

Well either Kara has a "magic door" and she can freely step between universes... Or when Flashpoint is finished, Humpty Dumpty is put back together again wrong.

Is there a third option?
Why does it have to be Kara's magic door? The STAR labs team is on the cutting edge of multi-universal travel. They have friends from other Earths already

Mickey: You said this was the 51st century.
The Doctor: I also said this ship was generating enough power to punch a hole in the Universe. I think we just found the hole. Must be a spaceship with a temporal hyperlink.
Mickey: What’s that?
The Doctor: No idea. Just made it up. Didn’t want to say “Magic Door”.

It doesn't matter who made the magic door, as long as Kara is one of the people allowed to use it, and Trump doesn't build a wall around it.

Magic door means cross-series shipping, if Winn can meet Caitlin or Jimmy can meet Thea and there are sparks. The possibility of an Ed vs. Ally McBeal courtship makes my turn of the century backed up childhood rant maniacally with approval.

Alternatively, Kara holds a quantum splicer while flying really fast until she's arrived in another universe. Which is punching a hole in the universe, and rules out anyone else without superspeed crossingover.

I'm only listing posibilties, not ready to make a bet on which road Berlanti is going to take to integrate the two universes for us.

If they have a dimensional mirror at the fortress, standard tech, everyone had one back home, why on Earth did anyone die when Krypton blew up?

Just remembered the awful conclusion to DC 1 million.

Finally 6 thousand years later, Clark used time travel to rescue the souls of everyone on Krypton, and then built them new bodies, and a new Krypton with ONE Green Lantern Ring to live happily ever after... I must be miss-recalling that?

Or Grant Morrison is a hack.

1. For years people complained about Superman's red trunks and now that they are no longer the norm people want them back.
You have to show that it's the same people doing both before that is a valid complaint. I for one never made fun of Supes' trunks and will always whine when they are missing. :)

^ The actor appearance and quality of the DCCU compared to the Berlanti version is glaring.
I agree. TV Flash looks way better than movie Flash.

And they went so similar with personality that I can't see why they didn't just use Gustin in the first place.

Plus sticking movie Flash with the same colour lightning as Quicksilver is gonna bring out the "DC ripped off Marvel!" idiots....
