Spoilers Supergirl - Season 2

It's appropriate for Supergirl to have a female POTUS as a recurring character, given how the Hillary Clinton campaign and the House of El both have the same slogan, "Stronger Together."

Unless there's a major crisis that demands the attention of the president, there should not be too many appearances of the president, and/or involved in Supergirl's or else threatens to cheapen the position--like she has time on her hands, or nothing better to do than have some connection to various characters in one city.

Superman should be exposd to Gold Kryptonite, so he loses his powers and becomes a non-powered mentor to Kara. Then people will stop wanting him to show up and save the day.

We've known about Lynda's casting and role since March, so all today's news does is confirm that they were able to "dot all the Is and cross all the Ts" with regards to her schedule and tell us when we'll first see her.

Melissa Benoist and Hilary Clinton met in January while both were guests on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.

I think Clinton is campaigning for the role of president in Supergirl, hence the new slogan.

p.s. Christopher, that is a JOKE: either laugh or roll your eyes.

Do we really think some big, scary wolfhound version of Krypto would be a good fit for Supergirl? Sounds more like the version Zack Snyder would prefer.

It worked really well for Young Justice. Wolf was big and impressive and made a great companion for Connor, but wasn't really scary as such during most scenes, and doesn't look that much different from the current comics Krypto. The pictures I've seen of the GoT direwolves, essentially giant husky/wolf specimens, would be a really good template too.

Seeing as Young Justice was geared towards a younger audience, if dealing with some rather mature themes, and Supergirl is noted for its relative brightness while dealing with some mature themes, I think it's a reasonable comparison.

That's apples and oranges. Shows made for young audiences can be dark -- heck, children like to be scared, and most classic fairy tales have extremely dark and violent elements -- and shows made for adults can be upbeat and fun. So the two are not the same thing at all. Regardless of target age, YJ was a more somber and serious show than Supergirl. And Superboy/Connor in particular was a much darker, more sullen, more aggressive character than Kara, so Wolf was a much better fit for him than a similar dog would be for Kara.

I don't actually want it to be Krypto at all. That would be a hell of an anticlimax. I'd like it to be something that comes as a surprise to the viewers, rather than just being the exact thing they've been speculating about for four months.

I agree, no dog. I think it should be something that looks like Supergirl in the rocket. Maybe a Durlan or a Daxamite, something that would expand the scope of the show a bit. A dog just does none of those things.

There are really a multitude of possibilities. It could be a kryptonian baby (or Daxamite Lar Gand), it could be Brainiac 5 (just to complicate the love triangle aspect and introduce the Legion), it could be the Eradicator or the original Brainiac.
