Spoilers Gotham - Season 2

I liked Fish as well...seemed to make sense, and to be a character that could die before Batman comes on the scene.
She was a good transition between traditional mobster and the future of Gotham crime.

..but I really wish they hadn't made Oswald "King of Gotham" at the end ... becoming a rival to Fish would've made more sense.

But was Jada too busy and/or expensive?

I have a feeling when she was introduced that the show was initially going to be a more street-level mobster type. Then when the show dumped all that to go bat-shit crazy with the villains there wasn't a real place for her anymore just like the other mob bosses they disposed of.

She was signed for just one season - http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/jada-pinkett-smith-leaving-gotham-season-2-1201447900/

The season finale just aired. The last few moments showed us some of Strange's escapees and a long-haired woman who was supposed to be significant. I was wondering who it was supposed to be and now I'm reading online that it was a long-haired Bruce doppelganger. I didn't even recognize him.

K, mind blown...you are not alone.

I recognized it was Bruce right away, but the significance escapes me (pun!) - I'm not familiar enough with the Bat Rogues Gallery. Were any or all of the "monsters" established villains?

I don't know which is more bonkers, Gotham or Helix, but I do enjoy the levels of madness that they descend. There are a lot of bad shows but not every show can be mad. This finale definitely carried through on the Gotham brand of insanity.

I almost thought that they killed off Hugo Strange. I was relieved when he was still alive. BD Wong has been killing it in this role. You can tell he's having fun. I hope he comes back next season.

Season two coming to blu-Ray and DVD Aug 16 -

I agree - amazing balance of smarts and camp. And glad Ms Ethel Peabody is alive too...great way she helped.

But it seemed like Hugo Strange folded too easily, no?

David Marouz has grown up quite a bit these past 2 years. They're gonna have to jump ahead 1 or 2 years next season.

Last random thought - Fish looked like an X-Man in that costume (Storm/Phoenix)

So, what was the point of all the advertising for this half-season being ice-themed when Freeze only appeared in four episodes and did nothing to drive the main plot? And why did he become a one dimensional thug after his origin story ended?

I'm thinking this is probably going to be their version of Hush.
I'm curious if they're going to tie this back into Tommy Elliot's appearance in Season 1, of if this will be a different character?
I loved the finale.
I was glad they didn't kill Strange, BD Wong has been great, and I hope he'll be sticking around. I'm assuming his ties to the Court of Owls will probably come into play next season.
Oswald's reaction when he saw Fish back was great. I can't wait to see what they do with that relationship next season.
Ben McKenzie as Clayface pretending to be Gordon was hilarious.
The scene with the heroes pouring the water in the bomb, only realize Mrs. Peabody just wanted a drink cracked me up.
I swear at times this show is getting so ridiculous and campy at times that it almost feels like a modern, more twisted version of the Adam West Batman series, in a good way.
EDIT:
CBR has an article about the villains we'll be seeing next season. They announced
Mad Hatter, The Tweedles, Solomon Grundy and Talon
.
