Thanks for reading!

Good artwork, legible text (that's important), and for the little bit I can see here it looks like realistic dialog. I look forward to reading more.

Okay, I was able to get to the web page and read the first 20 slides. I'm liking it so far. And I found the 185 page PDF file "Champion". No time to read it now, but just the first few pages look great.

Had a chance to sit down and read the entire 185 page story. Pretty interesting. Loved that
the Aurora
made a cameo appearance. Hurry up and write/draw more, please!!

Okay! I double posted because I'm a goof (And old, and forgetful) Sorry about that, guys! I got my schedule squared away, we are good now. No more double posting (I had a sticky note saying "Remember to get 14 posts to Trekbbs!" but I didn't realize I had TRIED to post and it worked... so I presumed I hadn't tried... so I had to try again... )

Okay, so thanks guys! I'm putting out one episode a week. Is it okay to post here weekly?

Sure. :)

It would be best if you used this thread for the announcements. I can change the thread title if you want to remove the number.

I've been following Tamerlane for a while now and in my humble opinion is easily the best fan-comic I have ever read. Looks like this latest story is no exception.

My only observation as a fan of comic books, if you allow one from somebody with zero drawing talent, is that the speech bubbles don't always look very tidy. A really minor quibble to the otherwise impeccable writing and great artwork.

Just discovered the Tamerlane comics - outstanding work! While the interaction between captain and crew seems a bit informal, it 'feels' right for this setting of an aging and almost obsolete destroyer with a small and relatively young crew. Looking forward to more!

Shaping up to be an intriguing story.

I'll check out the older stories as weel. Thanks for making us aware of this comic's existence here. :)

Thank you guys! I really appreciate the positive feedback... I've been rather nervous to put this out on a wider audience, It's sort of my baby. Somewhere out there are trolls waiting for me, I know it... I'm dreading them (I'll be fine, but I still dread it :D)

Count Zero: That would be just fine, I shall continue posting to this thread :) And thank you! :D

The Lone Redshirt: I try to play that off with Ward, since she came from the Farragut which was a much more formal environment, she seems to really have a problem with the lack of formality on the Tamerlane. Cochrane sees her as a little bit of a stick in the mud, but fun anyway, and Bennett still doesn't seem to know what to do with her.

CeJay: You are absolutely correct. I struggle with my bubbles... :D Below is how I normally do them... but I really feel like it's too rigid, too square... Apparently Manga Studio has a good word bubble tool, and I use MS for inking. I'll see if I can't figure those out!, I want to get to the point where I do the entire thing in Manga Studio, so this is a normal progression of things.

Alright! Here's #20!

Could you give a little background on Bennett? I may have overlooked her back-story but was wondering as to her prosthetic arms and eye. Did I read that she was from Tarsus IV?

Great character, btw and a terrific First Officer for Tamerlane.

Sure! Lt. Commander Angelica (Angie) Bennett was born in Paris the same year as Cochrane was born on Tarsus IV (2232). She was originally an up-and-coming biologist on the USS Diana, but it was destroyed and she barely escaped with her life, but not totally intact (Thus the prosthetics). The person who saved her was a young Cochrane (On the USS Mars, the first responder). Bennett suffers from some brain damage, and can no longer hold a sciences position, so she re-entered on a security track (Fewer things to remember) and when Julie took command of the Little T in 2265, she requested Bennett for her first officer. Starfleet normally wouldn't have let her be first officer because she also has a problem with not saying EXACTLY what's on her mind, but they overlook it because the Tamerlane is so long in the tooth.

Her backstory was released in a one-shot for a magazine about 5 years ago... but the magazine has since vanished from the interwebs... so I'm going to re-format it and re-release it later this year :)

Okay, that's cool. It took me a moment to get what I was looking at. Once I did, it made it all the more cooler.

Thank you, Sgt! :D I really like that piece... I wish the magazine which published it hadn't died. :(

Hi guys! The adventures of Tamerlane continue! Somehow I'm struggling with the timing on this, I think I'm TWO behind here on Trek BBS and I'm not sure how that happened... Aaaaaaaand we have funky text bubbles again (I'm using Manga Studio now for my bubbles, but it'll take a few issues before we see those in production :D)

AAaaaaaaand NOW we are caught up. (Again, my apologies... We had a Comic Con here in Denver and there has been a lot of things that happened including dental surgery *yuck*)...
