So exciting. Squee.
I think Farscape and nuBSG both experimented with multiple ships/crews a little bit. It worked okay for those shows.Having the main seven characters or whatever split up between different ships/locations could be a really great way to build the world in a way past shows haven't. Especially if it follows a more serialized format than past shows.
Yeah multiple storylines in different locations can work well, I'm thinking Helo on Caprica in BSG season 1.I think Farscape and nuBSG both experimented with multiple ships/crews a little bit. It worked okay for those shows.
might be wrong but wasn't there a period in the 90s when TOS was being referred to as 'Classic Trek' or 'Trek Classic?' or at least there seemed to be an attempt to have it called that on merchandise etc.(probably due to the Classic Coke thing?) Maybe the VHS reissues in the late 90s with the 3eps per tape being called "The Original Series" sealed the 'TOS' label? I'm not sureMeh, for the same reason the folks in ancient Egypt didn't count down the years and append "B.C." to them. We've been calling the original series TOS for around thirty years now.

Could that destroyed moon be Praxis? If so, that might have something to do with the rumor of it taking place in the aftermath of ST6.
I see mostly reused (or inspired) images from the closing credits of the last two Trek movies used for a TV promo...might have better luck reading tea leaves to find any "clues" that could be hidden in there, IMO.
Probably not, I thought they simply tried to show visuals that look different from the peaceful earth and moon at the start.Could that destroyed moon be Praxis?
I vaguely remember it being called "classic" but I think TOS won because it really fits the three letter abbreviation thing that started with TNG and was continued with DS9/DSN, we even got VOY and ENT.might be wrong but wasn't there a period in the 90s when TOS was being referred to as 'Classic Trek' or 'Trek Classic?' or at least there seemed to be an attempt to have it called that on merchandise etc.(probably due to the Classic Coke thing?) I was thinking of the New Voyages fan films. Although there was the whole domain name thing with Beyond.Or "Star Treks" since it covers new crews, new civilizations.....boldly going where, well...
Casual Viewer: There's a book series? I just want to watch the television or cable series. I don't care about any book series. I shouldn't have to understand a television series from the books; it should stand on its own.
And planets.....and ships...and different crews.
Yes, especially if all the stories tie in together in some cleaver and interesting way."Different" is what they said it would be. I'd happily accept an Anthology.
