Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Confirmed locations within the Arrowverse's internal Multiverse:
* Earth-1 ("Prime Earth" for the Arrowverse; setting of Arrow, The Flash, Vixen, Legends of Tomorrow, and Constantine)

* Earth-2

* 90s-Flash-Earth (setting of the 1990s Flash series starring John Wesley Shipp)

* Supergirl-Earth (setting of Supergirl)

This episode made me geek out! Few shows have that effect on me. I loved the nods to the original Flash, Supergirl, Jonah Hex, etc.

Earth 2 has such a retro-futuristic quality about it, with its 1950s vibe and ultramodern technological wonders.

It was surreal to see people's mirror selves: Barry, Iris, Joe, Caitlin, Ronnie, Floyd Lawton, Cisco! It seemed they were far more interesting than their Earth 1 counterparts.

Is Geomancer an actual DC character, or a version of GeoForce, Bryan Markov?

Anyone notice the "A Just Society for the Future" (or did it say "for America"?) artwork in the police station?

Should've have known Flash would do "Earth-2" right. From odd doppelgangers to the fashions and cars and winks and nods, just a lot of fun. This episode seemed to connect in a way that Legends of Tomorrow has struggled IMO to achieve.

So... anyone have any thoughts about the rest of the episode? Kind of odd that Barry just kidnapped his counterpart and knocked him out. At least he could've explained the situation, gotten his cooperation, and gotten a briefing on the details of his life before trying to impersonate him. Still, there were some nice moments, especially the talk with his mom.

That was a little odd, at least the length and extent of the situation. I thought Barry and Cisco were also a little too cavalier about it all given what was at stake with Wells and Jesse.

I'm assuming every other number is voice dialed?

Or Barry didn't think about getting the real Barry to be with iris when Joe died?

Did Earth 1 Barry do it with Earth 2 Iris?

If we set aside the whole issue of rape by fraud.

Involve a little Time Travel, and we have the Tornado Twins and/or Impulse coming to look for their dead beat grand/dad. :)

Mayor Snart?

Good episode. Does anyone else get the feeling that Zoom might actually be a future version of Jay? His whole revelation to Caitlin about his initial speed not being enough for him... What if he gets his speed back through the velocity formulas, goes "speed-crazy", and becomes Zoom. He then travels into Earth-2's past and steals his own speed to set things into motion? Hunter Zolomon therefore becomes both a clue to Zoom's identity as well as a red herring!

I do think Earth 2 Henry Allen as Zoom seems less likely now. Barry talked to his wife on the the phone and they are still together. Presumably that Henry is still normal good guy. Of course Zoom could be living a double life. But he seems so monstrous it would be a surprise.

That shot of John Wesley Shipp as the Flash is a very famous one. It was when he was first revealed in full costume in a street at night. BUT as I said early the image has been flipped. You can tell because the Lighting Bolt is REVERSED! No way that was a mistake. Jonah Hex, Supergirl, the Legion ring where all not flipped. So maybe that was not the Flash for the old tv series but another similar Earth.

Even if that is true I do think the 1990 Flash Earth exists out there. Even if we never directly see it.

If Diana, Bruce and Hal are on Barry's speed dial, he has to have a different super hero persona, unless he's one (or all) of those heroes "Felicity". Although why did a superhero stay asleep for 2 days from a simple tasering?

Oh.

A horrible reason that Iris had to pay for Barry's education (Does she make more money than he does without a fancy education? CSI =
Salary Range $40K - $123K. vs Detective = salary range $39,660 - $122,290. Although my googling is inaccurate and untrustworthy.) and that's if the Reverse Flash killed Henry Allen.

"Your Dad and I always wanted to go" is past tense enough to maybe mean that Henry wanted to go before he died?

If he had "Dad" and "Mom & Dad" on his speed dial, that suggests divorce and remarriage.

Jay is beginning to look like a likely suspect again, though...and Earth-2 Wells just conveniently invented a device that siphons speed....

"Dad" on the speed dial is probably Iris' father Joe.

It's her phone too. :)

Actually why did Joe "Give" them that house?

Children sometimes buy their parents house to be nice?

Joe would be an asshole with all that money talk if iris took over his Mortgage and paid for Barry's education.

Or it was a wedding present because Barry was a loser shitty provider?

Or the house is a coincidence and Joe never raised his kid there?

I might have thought that, but they made a big deal about how the two didn't get along...I'd expect him to be "Joe" if he were on speed dial at all.

Barry could have said "Oh, your dads dead, but your mommy might be alive and she probably has a son who is your full brother."

Although he's still on Earth 2 and there's time to say that when he "escapes" his cage.

There were a ton of great moments in the episode and I loved when Jay used his helmet to send vibrations at Geomancer.
Deathstorm=meh, didn't really get an evil vibe from him, Killer Frost on the other hand nice and evil and creepy.
Reverb was also well played.
As to the guy in the glass cage next to Flash I think that was morse code he was tapping, anyone know for sure?
