Doctor Who Avatar comp: Bowie Base(d)

Ok folks, in honour of David Bowie who passed away last week this week's theme is Bowie related. Now David Bowie was not, as far as I'm aware, ever in Who, but in a career spanning decades he produced a multitude of songs with quirky titles, and the name of the game is to produce a Doctor Who themed avatar using the title of a song or album as a prompt.

Just a quick glance at his discography suggested multiple ideas to me so I don't think this will be too difficult. Your avatar doesn't have to slavishly link to the song title, but nor should it be too vague. So Dancing in the Street could prompt anyone in Who dancing anywhere, but wouldn't work for someone just standing in the road!

Usual/past AV rules apply 150x150. I'll aim to put up a poll after the weekend.

He wasn't on Doctor Who but apparently he was offered the role of Sharaz Jek in The Caves of Androzani. Bowie was even interested in doing it but his schedule conflicted.

Interesting, I'd never heard that :bolian:

In Titan Comics' Eleventh Doctor series (first year), there was a companion based upon Bowie. The main companion's mother was a fan of this musician, and when she and Eleven show up to a concert in the early 60s, she's disappointed at how insignificant and lame he is. Only through his travels with the Doctor does he become the eccentric, weird-character-creating genius he is known as.

Anyway, here's my entry:

Good entries, keep em coming, there are still some really obvious ones no one's used yet :) (I'd better get my own entry sorted out as well!)

Ok here's my own "Be my wife" Still a couple of days and many Bowie songs left to choose. 'Seven' "Tin Machine' 'Scary monsters' etc :)
