The Expanse digital premiere is available NOW!

Pretty sure a big show in recent years has disprove being the first name in the credits means anything..

What show would that be? The first billed is always guaranteed to stay, from what I recall.

Yeah, this thread was doing pretty well about avoiding book spoilers up until those last few posts...

Everything is still worded vaguely enough that you shouldn't have any real idea what is going on. Besides, we've given away a lot less than the back cover blurbs of the books do.

Plus depending on how far they go in terms of the books Miller's fate is unavoidable.

I'm wondering if they'd have them both end up on Eros to preserve that section of the narrative but then have Havelock be the one who stays on Eros to the bitter end, with Miller using the mining craft as a life raft until the Roci can pick him up?

Part of me is even wondering if they'll twist the narrative so that Ceres takes the place of Eros in the series.

Aren't you guys being a little sensitive here? All they said was that something happens to Miller.
I don't know if it's going to effect DVRs or any of the other listings but TV Guide doesn't have tonight's episode marked as new. It is episode 6 which I don't think has aired yet, so it should be coming up as new.

I've read the books. It's pretty damn obvious what that conversation was alluding to, even without going into specifics.

Just have some consideration for the people in this thread who haven't read any of the books. It's not hard.

My Tivo has it marked as new but YMMV.

Guys seriously put spoilers on these deaths in books, its not fair and not that difficult to use spoiler tags
its very unfair to chat about the novels, pure nark buzzkill and not nice to talk to character's fate in books because it looks like the show is still going to be close to the books I think you should use spoiler tags when talking about who died where in which book...lots of people have only seen the tv show

I think you are confusing vaguely with blatantly.

No, it's vague. All that's been said is that something happens to Miller which would mean he wouldn't be considered series lead anymore. People can read into that and draw conclusions, but in the end, it's their conclusion and not anything I said.

Okay, but the back cover blurbs of the books actually give it away. Now you can say "I won't read the blurb until after I read the preceding books" but we all know there are circumstances in which a person might read that blurb before they can read those books. If the book publishers think it's a plot point okay to not only reveal but use to promote other books, than it's okay to allude to in a vague manner without spoiler codes.

Just an FYI, you're the first person in this thread to suggest any characters die and that that's what was being discussed. Without confirming whether or not that's the case, I suggest you should try not to be so revealing when discussing a spoiler.

Yeah, difference here is people who are watching the show and have no experience with the books (probably) aren't looking at the back cover blurbs of future books. Even if they might look at the blurbs, ultimately that's a choice they make. They can't choose whether or not to read uncovered spoilers in a discussion thread.

Just think before you post, guys.

For fuck's sake Wormhole, stop trying to play the innocent victim here. When it comes to spoilers, err on the side of caution and use the built-in spoiler tag. There's no reason to risk ruining the show for other people just because you're too lazy to spend two seconds to wrap your text in a spoiler tag.

Don't be a douche. Is it that hard to put up a spoiler block?
Take it easy. Simply notify on a post and let the moderators handle thing

Actually, that goes for everyone. Remember the spoiler guidelines that have been in place for quite some time, and have been pinned to the forum. IF spoilers are revealed, just the moderators and leave it at that.

I discussed the tv death of Lopez, the Mars interrogation guy with white pills in the Expanse tv series. His character died off last month, his death was already broadcast on the tv show in December in 2015.
I thought the actor playing him was fantastic and I thought maybe the show should free itself from whatever rigid path the books have laid out and thought it a shame not to keep this actor around. Lopez appears to be a minor character in the books who could have become something special on the show, and the actor playing Lopez was great
....then other people began discussing, well 'do you know you dies in book three'?, 'do you know you which main character departs in book two'? etc

Don't forget the statute of limitations stated in the spoiler thread pinned at the top of the forum - Neroon

I was reading a review for episode 6 and the reviewer was confused by the whole point of the uncle and his nephew asteroid miner plot. I may not have been paying close attention, but was the uncle also the guy in the video that Miller found?

^Add to that, was the nephew the kid Miller almost busted for stealing water on Ceres?

I was under the impression the guy in the video Miller found was the guy Fred Johnson sent Holden and crew to find. Don't quite know what the deal is with the uncle and nephew, that part isn't from the books (oops, should I have spoiler coded that?) They were both introduced in this episode.
Although IMDB claims the nephew will be in all the remaining episodes of the season.
