Rogue One (2016) [SW Anthology Series)

I dunno, I thought Hayden looked awkward as hell in the suit. Between the Frankenstein stomping, the "Nooo!" pose, and his inability to cross his arms convincingly (although that's the fault of the suit, no doubt) I'd rather they just get someone the right height (unlike Hayden) to play Vader.

The "Frankenstein stomping" I'm actually fine with. In-universe, Anakin is only just starting to walk with new legs for the first time, not to mention most of his body has been completely re-done. Trouble walking isn't really all that shocking.
I get it, I'm just not a fan of the shot. To my eyes, it looks less like someone re-learning to walk and more like someone in a suit that is way too big for them.

This is the first I've seen him hit with the old "unable to cross his arms convincingly" critique.

He did seem too short, I'll give you that.

Variety:
‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Is Year’s Most Anticipated Movie (Survey)

Most Anticipated Movie:

1. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” (December 16)
2. “Finding Dory” (June 17)
3. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (March 25)
4. Untitled Jason Bourne Movie (July 29)
5. “Captain America: Civil War” (May 6)
6. “Star Trek Beyond” (July 22)
7. “Independence Day: Resurgence” (June 24)
8. “X-Men: Apocalypse” (May 27)
9. “Zoolander No. 2” (February 12)
10. “The Jungle Book” (April 15)

OT-- I think the only reason Civil war is so low on that list is because is playing everything so close to the vest. Once we start to see more footage (Spider-Man, in particular) I think anticipation will rise.

I was going to say something similar about Star Trek Beyond, but then they are both beaten by the Jason Bourne movie, which has no plot info, cast details (beyond Matt Damon) or even a title. Then again, very little is known about Rogue One besides being about the Rebels stealing the Death Star plans and it's in the top spot.

I'm not. I'm much more excited about Finding Dory than Batman v Superman. But I guess that doesn't mean much since I'm far more excited about The Jungle Book than I am than I am of Star Trek: Beyond.

Exactly how I feel.

BvS looks like a grey turgid mess with a by the numbers plot (I hate you, no I hate you more, Oh look - here comes a giant rock monster, I guess we'll have to work together!), while if "Finding Dory" recaptures even half the charm and whimsy the original had, I'll be VERY happy!

And the less said about the Kirk motorcycle movie, the better.

How many other films in this Anthology series are there going to be?

I believe at least three have been confirmed: Rogue One, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are producing and directing the stand-alone Han Solo prequel, and Simon Kinberg is at the very least producing the third movie (when Josh Trank was still attached, it was rumored to be a Boba Fett movie, but who knows now that Trank torpedoed his own career and Kinberg is in charge).

The Boba Fett movie is still set for 2020. But yeah, like JoeZhang said, there will be as many Anthology movies as people are willing to pay for.

If Rogue One does well and Lucasfilm thinks they can make a movie out of a story set in the Star Wars Galaxy rather than put it in Rebels or another cartoon, than they'll make another movie.

Disney announced they're going to make one Star Wars movie a year as long as it's profitable. Which is just fine with me

After this trilogy, I'd love it if they just made anthology films, with some of them being a little experimental.

Possible plot details have emerged. As always, take rumors with a grain of salt.

(Mads Mikkelsen's) character is said to be a scientist who took over the Geonosian Death Star project, solving several of the space station's key flaws. He was revered by the Empire, but this report compares him to Robert Oppenheimer, who helped design the atomic bomb and later felt remorse for the death and destruction he helped create. Mads Mikkelsen's character reportedly flees from the Empire, and tries to "make things right," by enlisting the help of his only daughter, Felicity Jones' character.

I like the continuing "make things right" motif and the attempts to fix things up.

Yup - something WAS rotten in the state of Denmark - Thank you Disney!
