Anyway back on topic. Yeah, this one is kinda settling into fourth place for me as well:

In my top three--Empire is no. 1, Star Wars is no. 2 and TFA is a close 3rd, with Jedi bringing up the rear. The prequels are all rather indistinguishable to me, and unnecessary for the enjoyment of the others.

ROTJ (but only for the third act Luke/Vader/Emperor stuff, which is brilliantly filmed and compelling)
so TFA is prob a by-default close joint second (though I really didn't find it that...exciting or interesting)
ROTS (for all its faults...)

the rest (not being contrary, but never was a huge fan of ANH and have rarely rewatched)

TFA was better than the Prequels but nowhere in the same league as the OT. RotJ gets the nod over TFA for originality issues alone.

I'm with { Emma Snow } on this one: Right now I'd rank it as my favorite Star Wars movie! I'm not sure if time will eventually change my view, but I was never the biggest fan of the movies anyway and I felt this was just awesome all around. I'm dying to see more of Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren. Great stuff!

After watching TFA again, I'm starting to lean toward placing it above ROTJ. I must say I enjoyed TFA more the second time.
