Ryan to me - although she is beautiful. I think she really does caters to the old stereotypes of women . By that i mean " give me something to knock myself out with". I find her sexiness a turn off . I dont think she carries herself in a dignified manner. I find sexiness more appealing when it is left to the imagination.
When it is out there, there is nothing left to offer. No offense , but Ryan doesnt have anything else to offer . In her interviews she is very simple , childlike and dull. She overdoes her" Me and Eme are in love" bs and it is rather tiresome. Her laugh is absolutely awful. It is like listening to the screeches of chalk against a blackboard. Absolutely awful. Her assets are no way as stunningly beautiful as Mulgrews . Know what i mean. A down to my knees droops is not attractive to me and i like me women with nice ones . Know where im coming from bro?
Hence why it is the only way Ryan has to make her dollars the only way she can, by catering to the boys. All good to her. .But then she wants to be seen as this strong woman. " Get outta here.. A poster girl ,she is . A poster girl she will always be"
I just hope she doesn't succumb to the Farrah Fawcett Syndrome . Look what happened to her. She spent her entire life after her ( poster girl" career) incorporating daily routines to the Plastic surgeon until she looked like Zsa Zsa Gabor. That shit doesn't let go.. Looking like a fish and wanting to be appealing ..nooo!
I maybe wrong , but it seems to me that you are just threatened by Janeway - not use to seeing a woman that has the balls ( not literally) and can truly measure up against men. So by branding her unattractive you feel you are justified to say she isn't appealing.. Again i could be wrong

Although i find some of Mulgrew qualities unattractive ( some of which i have spoken about in Janeway Vs Mulgrew topic. I find she really does step up the plate when it comes to strong female roles. They fit perfectly .

Janeway7truly, I have to disagree. Seven may have started out as "eye candy" but over the course of those four seasons she became much more. She endured a traumatic past, lost her parents and childhood to the Borg. She then struggled to find her humanity again. Slowly she started to re-discover herself, make friends, and become a valuable member of the crew. Give her some credit.

In general though, she never struck me as sexy.

Are we arguing about the characters or the actors? I truly believe Chakotay the character possessed superior leadership skill to Janeway. Mulgrew is clearly the superior actor.
