I think Neelix is kind of cute. There, I said it. He has some character flaws such as the running after people puppy like trying to curry favour but I would knock that out of him quick enough. After that we would cook together. He would find me very annoying though because I would be too cynical so maybe it wouldn't work on his end.

This reminds me, I haven't hounded anyone into watching Firefly for a while. I think I will start hounding Janeway's Girl since she doesn't want to marathon anything after her VOY marathon and Firefly is only 14 episodes and also it is extremely awesome.

Hey! I told you I would give DS9 a try, in a while. I need time to get my strength back. I'm old and can't marathon one show right after another like I used to.
Well either DS9 or Battlestar Galactica. I've heard good things about Starbuck and Lucy Lawless is in it! That's a big plus!

The way the eps are arranged on the dvd (unlike how they were when broadcast) makes Firefly feel like a self contained 14 ep long miniseries.
And you get the bonus of the 2 hour movie released after the series ended.
I highly recommend the series to anyone who likes sci-fi.

Yes Catarina, I personally don't feel too much pain at the cancellation. Rather I feel like I have a perfect 14 episode miniseries with a BONUS tying things up movie (yes I am repeating JRulez lol). And I love to watch and rewatch them. I think some of them are just about PERFECT. And warm and surprising and witty and funny and interesting and GREAT SETS and also the Captain is QUITE naked in one episode and its extremely fine and adorable.
Both DS9 and BSG are EXCELLENT and in their own way heavy going, particularly BSG. Before you begin months of epic television arcs you might like to have a relaxing holiday in television paradise, otherwise known as Firefly.
Do Battlestar Galactica.
The last season isn't great, but the rest of it is awesome.
With DS9 you've got to wade through years worth of TV before you get to anything decent. The first season is especially challenging.
I agree with all of this. Yes, including naked Nathan Fillion. He almost is to me what Angelina Jolie is to my fiancé - attractiveness transcending sexual orientation.
