Which actors are suitable for a new Ghostbusters movie

Gillian Anderson -- Peter Venkman (Bill Murray's role)

Can kind of see her in that role. And she's interested in being a part of the movie. Someone mentioned if she wanted to be in the new Ghostbusters movie and she said yes.

For me, I'd like to see Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey, Kate McKinnon, and Sarah Silverman take the reins. I can easily see Silverman in the same general role as Venkman, Tina Fey as a similarly fleshed out Egon, Kate McKinnon as the sweet, but naive, Ray, and McCarthy as the one and only Winston Zeddemore, who insists that she'll believe anything you want, as long as there's a paycheck in it.

That'd be a great cast. I was actually just thinking of Tina Fey as an Egon-type. I'd also suggest a male actor for the secretary.

Was also thinking that as long as it's a reboot, they should think of maybe changing location, like New Orleans for instance.

That would be cool, I never considered a change of location. New Orleans would fit the bill in a lot of ways!

Yep, exactly! It already has a lot going for it. I see it having a lot of potential for them to have fun with the setting and the culture behind it. And that way it never ends up feeling like a retread. It takes care of a lot of issues I'd have out of a straight reboot.

Plus, New Orleans has a reputation for being a haunted city. It would also be nice to get away from the New York/Los Angeles pattern that has been used so much.

I was honestly thinking Chicago, but New Orleans wouldn't be out of bounds.

However I do feel as though the ritualistic nature of Voodoo and Hoodoo would be an odd mix with the Pseudo-Scientific Tech of the Ghostbusters Verse.

The three female leads from The Big Bang Theory.

Amy Farah Fowler would be a perfect Egon.

Also, vampires.

Yep, exactly my thinking. Plus the graveyards, with its stories and legends. It has a whole vibe of its own going on.

Not necessarily odder than a painting coming to life and stealing babies. In fact, if I remember correctly that had its own ritiualistic thing going on. If they can make that happen, then I don't see how voodoo and hoodoo would be out of place, especially given the history behind it. There's always been some element of myth and legend to the things going on in GB, which is something that New Orleans has in spades. There's a lot there to build on.

Anyway, that said, there's a ton of stuff they could do with it being set there, and it doesn't even have to go in that direction if they didn't want to.

If Ghostbusters is ever remade , which actors do you think should play the roles of the following, in a potential remake,

"The Wisecracking" Dr Peter Venkman

"The Heart of the Team" Dr Ray Stantz

"The Brain of the Team" Dr Egon Spengler

"The Voice of Reason" Winston Zeddemore

"The Secretary & Confidante of the Team " Janine Melnitz

And any good ideas for a new Supernatural Villain?

If you like, you can change the original ethnicity/sexual orientation/gender/belief of the 5 characters but not their personality.

"The Wisecracking" Dr Peter Venkman-Chris Pine

"The Heart of the Team" Dr Ray Stantz-Karl Urban

"The Brain of the Team" Dr Egon Spengler
-Zach Quinto
"The Voice of Reason" Winston Zeddemore
-Tyrese Gibson
"The Secretary & Confidante of the Team " Janine Melnitz-Heather Matarazzo

^ It's being remade with women as part of the cast. Last I heard.

Who'd you have in the parts with women in the roles?

I have a great idea for a female Venkman: Nancy Robertson.

Paula Venkman-Sarah Silverman

Eugenia Spengler-Emma Stone

Rayna (Ray) Stanz-Heather Matarazzo

Wendy Zeddmore-Taraji P. Hinson

What do you think of my male casting?

Charlize Theron
Aisha Tyler
Linda Cardellini
Rosario Dawson

Not necessarily a 1 for 1 cast against the originals.

You mean you replaced "nerdy" with "sexy"?

Yeah, I wonder how you came up with that.

I seriously suggest letting a woman do the casting. :p
