Ok, this is a group of highly educated, experienced and knowledge people. So let me ask a somewhat cheeky question: what was the WORST costume in Tos? (in your refined opinion, of course).

Surprisingly I agree but I'm going to vote her guards costumes one of the worst.

I'm thinking Deela's boyfriend's costume is pretty awful.

But maybe the shower curtain was the worst:

This is probably a minority opinion, but Shahna's tin-foil bikini in "Gamesters of Triskelion" is a too campy for me. It crosses the line between "fun" and "ridiculous" . . . and looks like something out of "Queen of Outer Space" or something.

They liked sparkly costumes as there were many.

Not really a costume but the red tights that Kirk and others wore including Charlie from Charlie X. Kirk should have pulled them up a bit higher since he was shirtless. Those always gave me a snicker. If memory serves, I think you can see Shatner's jock strap during the scene.

I figured those suits in "The Naked Time" were meant only to provide heat, not protection against environmental hazards or microorganisms.

OK so its not a "costume", but it must be those blonde wigs worn by the hill people in A Private Little War. A very good episode ruined by poor costumes and a cheesy Mugato right out of "Lost in Space".
