Why did Kirk tell Gaila "That's weird"?

    Gaila isn't offended; in fact, she was probably putting him on. That funny exchange about how many guys she had in the room and stuffing Kirk under the bed is a good indication. Kirk wasn't worried about what she said; it wasn't significant. He's thinking about the Kobayashi Maru; and when Uhura discovers Kirk, the test is the first thing she brings up.

    Why did he say it?

    Gallia was looking for a relationship, while Kirk was looking for the computer codes and a little play time.
