Do you ever try to make sense xortex?
Not to you.
Clearly, the Old Spice guy needs to be Captain in the next Trek series.
Old Spice Guy would make a kickass space pirate!
The old spice guy is Riker. They should rescue David Caruso out of the nexus and call him Kirk.
I don't have a preference for Captain, but I'd very much like to see Summer Glau on the bridge sin some capacity.
As I read this thread, I pictured the cast of The Big Bang Theory on the bridge of a starship. Captain Cooper anyone?
Don't know about that, but if they ever do a TNG re-make, Jim Parsons would be a pretty-good Data.
Your Freudian slip is showing.
Faran Tahir. I think that a Kelvin series could be brilliant.
The Korean star 이병헌.
Among his many roles, he portrayed Storm Shadow in the 2 live-action G.I. Joe films.
Who do I want to play a captain in a new Trek?
I think Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor) would make a good Data.
Back on the subject of Captains, my top three (in no particular order):
Don't know if anyone's mentioned this guy or not...How about Oliver Jackson-Cohen from Faster?
How about the person best suited to portray the character that the creators come up with? I mean, even though I really like George Clooney, and think he'd make a great Starfleet captain, if the part as written requires a petite blond woman, George probably shouldn't be considered for the role. Capice?
Truthfully, not really. if the part as written requires a petite blond woman, and George Clooney expressed an interest, the part would quickly be rewritten. Capice?
And the thread is after all, who would YOU want to play the captain. It's a game, do play along.
If I could pick absolutely anyone to be captain, I'd pick Robert Mitchum. When he was late thirties to mid forties, one damn fine looking man. Had the cocky swagger down, could play world weary, and had experience playing military commanders.
Easy to see him on the bridge.
What about something kind of different....cast a young brown female as Captain with a tall asian male as first officer?
Well in terms of diversity star trek tends to do better then most scifi it really is amazing how much scifi sucks at diversity especially for males. Still how young we talking about unless your story is taking place in the middle of the war I am not sure I want 20 year old captains.
Separate names with a comma.
