I was actually thinking of playing GTA: San Andreas again.

I've only played it once. But then, it was like three games in one.

Plus, it broke my PS2. So I'm kind of scraed to re-try it.

Finished my first playthrough of Dragon Age and am onto Awakenings (also did Leliana's Song).

Also got the Sword of the Stars complete collection. Had a copy of the original years ago but I'm now still trying to learn the ways to actually get a win.

After moving two months ago I finally unpacked my 360! I'm playing Halo Wars for the first time. I hate playing RTS on a console but their design is actually remotely playable, yay. I'm mainly just playing it for the Halo story. But it's alright. I actually like the pre-placed base spaces, and the defense turrets are damn powerful which I like since I'm a slow building turtler. 'Course I am playing on Easy...

After finishing Dragon Age: Origins (which was decent) I am now back to Mass Effect.
After playing it again for two hours, I remember why I enjoy it more than ME2. The sense of exploration is severely lacking in ME2 and I love the Mako :)

I'm giving a demo I saw on Fileshack a try. It's a FPS Terminator game using the Unreal 3 engine.

Initial impressions were that you can't alter the options too much and that I needed to turn the speakers down. It does have a certain amount of atmosphere to it, but I've barely started it so can't say how bright the AI is or how long it is. Going off the file size, I reckon it won't be huge.

One of my mates loves it (Xbox original version though). I remember trying the PC demo and enjoying it, but it's been a while.

I'm still putzing around with Star Trek Online. The season 2 add on is keeping my interest.

Well, Halo Wars was fun but extremely short lived, and the skirmishes got boring fast. I'm glad I only paid ten bucks for it. Next up: Saint's Row 2... or Fallout 3... or Orange Box. Hmm...

OK, I finally cracked open the Orange Box! I played the first ?14? levels of Portal before I finally got pissed off at it and stopped. It's a very fun and inventive game though, and I usually hate puzzle games.

Alas since I'm not on XBL I can never enjoy Team Fortress 2...

That's fine, the only way to play Team Fortress 2 is on the PC, don't bother with the console versions.

Just finished my 2nd play through of Mass Effect 2, so I should get back to my other games in progress and finish them off: Prototype, Final Fantasy XII, and Assassin's Creed.

Although I don't know why I should bother with the last one, since I'm not going to be playing AC2 any time soon. Thanks for the DRM Ubisoft. :(

All three of those games were great! Sorry to say that AC2 was light years better than AC1 though ;)

Oh, I know. I've heard all the reviews that basically say it's better. But I ain't buying the game. Ubisoft can go screw themselves with their DRM. I've got a whole bunch of other games that I can pay attention to.

^ That's only for computer, right? Though Capcom got a lot of hate for having DRM on their Final Fight console marketplace game for North America.

Fat Princess is on sale on PSN, so I downloaded it. Tried playing without reading the instructions.

Is DRM that thing where you have to be signed online to play it? If so that definitely didn't apply to 360. I don't even have XBL.

^That's the big variety of DRM that's causing such a stir right now. If your internet has a hiccup or if there's a loss of connection between you and the game servers for any reason, the games generally crashed and you'll lose everything since you last saved. And if your connection goes down or if their servers go down, then you have a completely unplayable game. I'm with Steven in this case... these companies certainly have the right to protect their software, but this new version of DRM is ridiculous and I've boycotted a couple games I was interested in until this DRM gets patched out.

It's especially annoying if your Steam version of a game has additional DRM.

And that's why Consoles rock ;)

ATM I'm playing Icewind Dale 2 and just found, Ur-Quan masters (freeware version of Star Control2, or something like that) which I'm trying to figure out, never really played a space sim before , though I've been meaning to give them a try.
After that it's onto Starcraft 2!

I can now report that Dragon Quest IX has the richest post-game of any Dragon Quest game. Which is great because it's on a hand-held, and it's likely to provide me hours of hours of entertainment on several trips I'll be taking over the next few months. Basically once you beat it, it turns into a Nethack type game with random dungeons, bosses, and loot. You can unlock bosses from previous Dragon Quest games, and there's a virtually unlimited amount of random dungeons that can be generated. It's pretty neat. :techman:
