I'm actually overwhelmed how closely they based that game on the original DX. So many neat little references <3

^ Oh yeah, that game was a hugely pleasant surprise. Best fun I had in years. Who would have ever thought you could make a worthy Deus Ex game in this day and age?

Picked up a 3DS XL with New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario 3D Land yesterday. Good times.

I just finished the main story in Mass Effect 2 and am seriously considering doing the 'New Game +' to get all of the trophies and do a few things differently than I did the first time around.

I'm kind of on gaming hold right now, waiting on Borderlands 2 in two weeks. I finished replaying GTA IV for the achievements (well, all except the street racing, Stevie car orders, random strangers and multiplayer) because they aren't popping up fast enough and multiplayer is pretty much dead.

So, with two weeks to go, I may dive into my backlog of games, which include Duke Nukem Forever, Far Cry 2, Bulletstorm, Darksiders, or I may replay Heavy Rain. So many choices!

I've been having a blast with Guild Wars 2 since the early access started. It's been a long time since I've had to tear myself away from playing a game like that. The best part is this is probably the first MMO I've ever played where it's been all about enjoying the journey instead of rushing to the level cap. The bolstering for pvp does help a bit with that.

Also, personal gathering nodes may be the best thing ever invented.

I picked up MoP, even though I will most likely not be playing it. Mostly since I have a couple more months on the annual pass. I assume at the end of October I'll sign up again. "Well, since I already bought MoP..."

As an addendum to my earlier Mass Effect 2-related post, I decided to completely delete my previous play saves and start completely over, so I'm effectively playing ME2 again 'for the first time'.

    recently finished/replayed

uncharted 3 - appreciate it more now than at release
Slender - awesome little PC game even crappy computers can play
Bioshock - I dunno what it was, like nails on a chalkboard to me. Started it when it cam out (how many years ago), and it took that long to get thru it

For a number of reasons, despite loving the first two games, I've only just got around to playing ME3. Wow - absolutely adore this game.

Phantasy Star: Generation 1, via the fantastic PSCave fan translation patch. If you're a fan of Phantasy Star or old-school RPGs in general, you owe it to yourself to check this out if you can.

I'm also poking around endlessly in Saints Row 2 via my Playstation Plus resub. Precisely the non-GTA GTA game that I've been craving; I'll definitely pick up The Third next time I'm out.

Picked up Borderlands 2 last night and am now a Level 8 Gunzerker.

So far I seem to by dying a whole lot more than I did in the first one. Not sure if this is from being a more difficult game or just being out of practice. Or thinking the Gunzerker would be similar to Brick from the first game. Could be a combination of all three. But, it's a fun game so far. Handsome Jack is a total douche.
