homemade hamburgers, potato chips with ranch dip, baked beans and potato salad.
Had BBQ chicken with my own bbq sauce with pasta shells. My brother liked it so it was a success.
Homemade shredded chicken chimichangas with rice.

Mediterranean chicken over pasta. Not bad, if I do say so myself.

Hot dogs with ketchup & spicy mustard with potato chips.

As an aside, when the heat indices are well above 100 degrees (as they are right now in Madison, Wisconsin), it's really hard to find the energy to spend a decent amount of time in the kitchen, especially when working over a hot stove.

sushi: spicy salmon, avacado & cucumber roll (with brown rice); spice lobster miso; and these little duck dumplings that were wonderful.
