All they needed to do was transfer the TK power into someone who's already comatose and will be dead within the hour.

Mrs. Silvercrest has been replaying the DVD sets so I've done a little catching up. The bronzing process involves cryogenically freezing someone, but they're somehow awake afterward??? :wtf:

And is why on Earth are the bronzer, and the bronzed people, kept in the Warehouse itself? The Warehouse organization should be storing them far, far, from anywhere.

For the writers, keeping the bronzer in the Warehouse makes it easy to introduce peril. In-universe it makes no sense at all (for that exact reason).

It's been clearly stated that the Warehouse is always moved to whatever empire or power seems to be leading the world at the time, including Warehouse 13. I'm not sure where you're coming up with the war bit, or that the United States was chosen simply as a means of evading the World War (especially since the US was involved in it). Doubly so when you consider that the first Warehouse 13 was built around 1898 before it burned down, as mentioned by Artie when he was talking about Mrs. Frederic becoming the caretaker.

When did they suggest that it would be in the empty half of China?

It was being transported to Beijing in the episode. And we don't know where it's moving to right now...

So, 13 is an abnormality. Who is to say that the trend would continue?

It'd be interesting to seem Chinese artifacts being tamed by some Chinese agents. How does that work in W13, are there supposed to be other teams out there or is it just the team we see week to week?

I thought it was being transported to Beijing because that's where Valda was directing it to go. He was planning to sell artifacts to the Chinese.
I prefer to think of 13 as the start of a new trend instead of an abnormality. The first twelve warehouses were kept in their host nations' capital cities, but as technology progressed and it became harder and harder to keep something as big as the warehouses a secret right in the heart of their host's capital, it was decided that the next warehouse would be located in the middle of nowhere, where there would be fewer prying eyes. If Warehouse 14 does end up going to China after all, I think it's more likely they'd put it in one of their more sparsely populated regions, perhaps Qinghai province or the Xinjiang autonomous region.

Exactly my point. And from Wiki:

"The next move for the Warehouse was to South Dakota in the United States. Unlike previous warehouses, which were placed in the centers of their empires, Warehouse 13 was located so as to hide it. The first Warehouse 13 was built in 1898, but the structure burnt down because of an insufficient understanding of how to safely store artifacts. The move to the rebuilt and current Warehouse 13 occurred in 1914 at the onset of World War I. The Warehouse was designed by Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, and M. C. Escher, while the Warehouse Expansion Joints were created by Albert Einstein."

Note that it points out that the rebuilding of it was completed in 1914. It's pure coincidence that 1914 was the start of the WWI. It obviously took more like 16 years for it to be built, as I doubt the regents would have wanted the artifacts just lounging around God-knows-where until the start of a major war.

Well, yeah. And I wonder if that's why people think it's moving to China.

But, I was questioning why people think it's moving to the western part of China, that wasn't explicitly stated..

I wonder who decides where it goes geographically? Who is the "they," you know? The Regents? The host government? Because a case could be made, maybe the Chinese would want things close to their capital, for their own defense...

But didn't they say that the handle is found in the host country and the mawl was in the regents vault? (or vice versa)

I think it means that eventually the warehouse would be moving, just not yet. I suspect if the "warehouse" has anything to say it will be when the host country's government doesn't plan to use the artifacts as weapons.

    That's an interesting idea.

Though, I do wonder, if the "warehouse" chooses... or the artifact... does it choose the location? Does it build the facility? We know people built 13, and I'm assuming the others. So, there has to be some discussion by a host country.

Clearly, it's not something the producers have thought that much about... at least until right now.

I'd hope that what happened was that there's now an irreversible process that requires a move ... but there may still be some choice as to where.

Personally I'd vote for moving to Eureka. :techman: Get a few last walk-ons from Fargo and others.

Not too likely, though. I think that would have been leaked before now. And I'm sure Colin wouldn't take time off from his gig as the Maytag Repairman.

    It's explained (again) next week.

I like the idea of moving to Eureka. :rommie:

Sure, since most of the artifacts that turn up are in the United States. :rommie: Crossing the Midwest is a lot more convenient than crossing the Pacific.

I don't think they had a way to do that before Valda invented that eyepiece by using Paracelsus' research.

That's a good thought. I wonder if Asia has its own version of the Warehouse. Most of the artifacts that the Warehouse has dealt with have been in the US, with a few in Europe.

Claudia accidentally transferred it to Myka not 2 episodes ago. They knew it could be done. They just needed a different recipient.

If they DO move to China... could China produce Warehouse 14? Lower production costs, for sure...

And good question... any agents on other continents? Like has there been anything from Africa? Probably the one low point of Warehouse 13 -- lack of diversity on a week-to-week basis.

I guess it's like Supernatural and the way all the threats happen to be in Anerica's heartland.

Maybe that's why the Warehouse moves (or is moved) in the first place. It (or they) can sense the 'overall energy' of artifacts and whether such a place is a high risk for artifact abuse. Thus, once agents in one area have bagged and tagged enough to put a dent in this volume, it moves/is moved to the new, more "energetic" location.

It's all about energy (or not). We'll find out next week, in any case.
    (not intending to derail)

Mr. Adventure, I've often thought the same about SN, regarding North America's card being up. Prior to the past 150 years or so, there's evidence that monsters/demons were mostly focused on Western Asia/North Africa and Europe (respectively, in roughly that order). Most of the demons and monsters are Old World and probably just followed the immigrants from those places. Ghosts are everywhere. The Skinwalkers and other native creeps probably just adapted to the newcomers or may have fought them and lost, like their human counterparts/traditional victims.
