It ain't pretty...but it is a (more or less) functional poll!
and well done Shanndee, the first couple of times you have to set up a poll it's fiddly as hell!
Thanks Starkers. Yes, fiddly is definitely the word for it! I did learn a thing or 2 in the process...so I'm sure I'll find some all new mistakes to make in the future!
Thanks for your patience everyone (and for all of your helpful hints!)
Poll looks great -sure, there are some misses in the OP, but that sort of post is complicated to set up
I only provided one vote (for evil twin) because sadly I did not recognize almost all of the others (okay I knew Firefly, but I don't miss it)! I guess I haven't watched enough scifi in my lifetime.
So far it looks like Firefly is dominating this poll. That is all kinds of shiny.
Good job on the poll, Shanndee. Hope it only took one take.
Of course it's dominating. It's the best show in the contest!
Didn't want to waste 4 votes so voted Firefly as well, which only just seen but not that bothered about. Only ones really wouldn't mind seeing more of are ENT and BSG. Quite a few of those don't know or haven't seen.
Is the last one Life on Mars?
Yes, the original BBC show---which was all kinds of awesome.
An oversight you need to correct my friend.
Can we vote for more than one? I'll be honest here, I was surprised to see shows older than just the last decade listed, but at the same time, dissapointed that ENTERPRISE was the only Star Trek show to make the cut.
You can vote for 4 RandyS. Sorry, I should have put that with the entries as well as beside the "view poll results"!
Speakin' just for myself, I don't miss Trek as much as I probably should.
TOS got the animated series, which I watched for the first time a couple of years ago, six movies and a reboot.
TNG had a nice endin' after a not so good final season, plus four movies, only two of which were really good.
DS9 had a perfect endin', and a great series of post-finale novels.
I stopped VOY regularly before it even ended.
And ENT just wasn't that good to begin with.
And they do all have books that tell stories within, before & after their shows aired, so if I'm in the mood, I can find a story to enjoy with characters I like.
I decided to go with Quantum Leap 'cause it is my favorite non-Trek scifi, and if there were a revival of the series of some kind, I'd be right there watchin' it. I used to have all the tie-in novels, just over a dozen of 'em, and have written ideas and bad fan fic about how the series could be brought back with Scott Bakula as a recurrin' guest star & Dean Stockwell as an occasional special guest star while shiftin' the focus to Sammy Jo Fuller, Sam's daughter, and Al & Beth's oldest daughter from the altered history of the series finale.
And also 'cause auntiehill thought it would be a good idea.
It would be nice if the opening post stated how many votes we are allowed, but I went by the usual habit and by what the people in the thread said and voted for 4.
The post listing the entries, lists the entries.
The poll lets you vote:
I know because I was looking for that number
I'm not surprised Firefly is trouncing us.
I'm just happy that Enterprise is in second place (so far).
