PHLOX: A visit to Engineering may be in order first.
PHLOX: I’ll be using a highly focused antiproton beam to eradicate the parasites. We’ll start with this cluster today.
ARCHER: Why not remove all of them at once?
PHLOX: This procedure’s never been attempted before. We should move cautiously.
Phlox: This procedure's never been attempted before. We should move cautiously.
T'POL: When can you begin?
PHLOX: The emitters should be calibrated within the hour.
The door chimes to Archer's quarters:
Archer: Come in.
T'POL: You left the reception early.
ARCHER: It was a little disturbing. From my perspective, I saw most of those people just a few hours ago. It couldn’t have been easy for you, telling me the same story over and over again for twelve years.
T'POL: I don’t always tell it in detail.
ARCHER: I hope I’ve told you before, but, I’m very grateful for everything you’ve done for me. If this works.
PHLOX (over comm): Phlox to Captain Archer.
ARCHER: Go ahead.
PHLOX (over comm): We’re ready.
REED: I’m picking up an intermittent duranium signature.
TUCKER: Is it a ship?
REED: I’m not certain. It’s in a close orbit around the sun.
TUCKER: We’d better check it out. Lay in a course.
(Archer is lying in a perspex tube, with a couple of green lights flashing above his forehead)
PHLOX: Increase to eight hundred millicochranes. (the engineer at the warp controls presses buttons) Increase to eight fifty.
(a bunch of parasites vanish from the monitor, and they help Archer up)
REED: There’s a small vessel just outside the chromosphere.
