    If Disney acquired Star Trek, they'd do what seems to be unthinkable to CBS at the moment:

    One extreme for another. Based on what Disney is doing with Marvel and what they're planning with Star Wars, they're oversaturating the market in a way that makes 90s Trek look reserved and moderate.

    P.S. Despite conjectural fatality numbers, I think it's pretty obvious that Luke Skywalker killed more people with one torpedo than his father ever did throughout the six Star Wars films. ;)
