But I get what you're saying now. I use quotation marks just at the beginning and end of whatever a character is saying. So if my post contains the middle of a character's speech, I won't use quotations. Hope that makes sense.

So, here's the supposed antidote.

(But if you're going to start with a capital after the quote mark, you will need a period -- not a comma -- beforehand. ) I think what is technically called for are elipses setting off the text within quotes at each post. The fragments are thoroughly interrupted. But since there are so many quotes, personally I'd rather make do with context and leave out quotation marks.

As for the ellipses, yeah, I can see how those might be appropriate, but I think they might just confuse matters further. I'll just stick with quotation marks myself, and to each their own.
