loved the happy trees and
snowy mountains that he'd painted
about the room.
not usually impressed with any
painting but this one reminded
him of Russia, and he
loved spending time in Moscow's
northern landscape which featured many
pieces of classical architecture dating
back to the time of
the great rebuild back in
the mid-20th century. The
buildings were reminiscent of the
old Imperial style and had
statues scattered throughout the city.
As a small boy Chekov
used Lego to build large
replicas of some of Russia's
finest architectural structures.
