than she was designed for.
Scotty warned Kirk that the
ship couldn't maintain that speed
for long without risking structural
failure. Kirk decided to give
Scotty additional time to calibrate
and fine tune any piece
that starts to fall off
the main reactor core. He
didn't want to see what
could happen to the Enterprise
but the Constitution needed their
assistance and needed it quickly.
"Maintain speed Scotty. Sulu, ETA."
The helmsman checked his instruments
, "Ten seconds sir."
The ship's mighty phaser banks
charged as the Enterprise warped
across disputed space to reach
