Oh come on, that's a massive over-reaction. There are some fantastic episodes in there; season 2 particularly is one of my all-time fave seasons. So much good stuff in there, and long before the show got complacent.

Well, to be fair, I did say most and not all. Perhaps I should focus my ire on Season 1 more specifically. S2 did have "Measure of a Man" and "Q Who", but also has the dubious honor of its finale, "Shades of Gray" being TNG's one and only clip show. Sorry, friend, but S2 was a real mixed bag.

Nah, that's one thing I liked about Voyager. From time to time they just didn't take themselves that seriously.

    The ECH episodes were FUN!

I believe the worst line ever spoken, not only in Star Trek, but on TV had to be - "Wesley you have the bridge"

As much I hated it, it was alright to see that as a fantasy. But they crossed a line with me when they decided to actually make him an ECH. Couldn't we have a throw away line about him having to learn about command like anyone else. At least we would've been spared other dreck like "An Emergency Command Hologram outranks an Ensign!"

I'm a big defender of Season 1 TNG, but there are so many attempts at trying to say: "Look at how advanced we are with all these tongue and cheek sex jokes!"

It's the same as the first two seasons of ENT. They decided people would rather turn in for a half naked Jolene Blalock instead of decent writing.

It would have been hilarious if they just started episode off like that, without any explanation until later.

It's still corny, even for Voyager.

OMG, after reading this, here's a new nomination for worse line then:

The whole point of an ECH is to be activated only when the command structure breaks down right?

So now a qualified ensign has to take a back seat to a hologram now. A hologram that fantasizes about giving orders...

After watching that, I thought it would have been fitting (and cute too) if the very next scene showed Data wearing Fajo's own clothing.
