who is it?
It's a pic of Captain Kirk falling from El Capitan in ST5.
Harry: "What is it?"
Tom: "It's a 1936 Ford truck."
B'Lanna: "Okay, then what is that?" (points off into distance)
Tuvok: "It would appear to be a half constructed mid-23nd century, alternate reality, starship."
Intrepid class joins the battle, but not Ambassador class?
^They did. They were all assigned close to the Romulan fleets. They all vanished.
TUVOK: We'll start with small industrial replicator, fashioned from this artifact, one tricorder, and two phasers.
Great play on nuTrek, T'Girl.
"Day-um!! Girlfriend is STILL in a coma!!"
Some very cool artwork in this thread!
If any of you talented folks take requests, I'd love to see Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy) in a TWoK era captain's uniform.
Hard to find a good shot with the right lighting... here's a stab at it:
Well done Gary7, excellent work! Her facial expression (especially compared to Kirk's) gives the impression that she has just pulled one over on him somehow.
Thanks. Yeah, that's what made this particular head shot so workable... if only the lighting was better. I have to learn how to change the lighting angle on a face. It's not easy.
You should have added a touch of blue on her face and darkened her face. Maybe added some grain or... blur or something to make her less HD-y vs. Kirk.
Hm... You gotta tweak around a bit to get it super perfect. That's what I did with Morrissey.
You could tweak the colour of the top Intrepid to make it more grey so it's not as contrast-y as the rest of the ships.
Thanks for the tips. The original shot had the focus on Kirk, with Saavik a little blurry. So I went with keeping that focal perspective. I did add blur, but you're right that there's still more information there. The lighting is too warm, so a little blue would probably help. I wanted to try incorporating some of the reflections that were on Saavik's onto Sandra's, but that'll take much more work.
The trick is to start with a photo of the "add on" person having the same lighting angles. Looks like you had that with Morrissey to start and then accentuated a little.
Separate names with a comma.
