Got the background from here - there's some great stuff on that site.
^ Hah, it is from an airship. Good eye, scotpens.
And nice work, as usual, ITL. Whose uniform jacket was it?
ITL, words fail me.
^ Thanks, guys.
M': The jacket is a composite. The red base is a normal modern jacket, and the gold stitching/collar was taken from a couple of replica military jackets.
It didn't even occur to me that the braid and the jacket were from different sources.
Great work, Tachyon. You're really very good at those cameos. Interesting story there, too. I reckon if you put all your recent manips together, it would be a good story board for a story.
Steamborg'd! Wi' a grommet in 'is 'ead.
I like how the rank pips fit in. Tiny poppet valves?
^ I wish I'd thought of that! Cool idea - valve rank pips! Excellent!
19th century Borg. I love it.
FANTASTIC! Nice job.
That is fantastic.

I love this! Can I please make this into an avatar for myself on TBBS to use when qualify for an avvie? Naturally, I'll credit you in my sig.
^ Of course you can - no problem!

These are NOT my pics... rabbittooth did the work. I thought they fit in with what ITL is doing now.
The actual source image is a photo of the command bridge of the WWII-vintage aircraft carrier USS Hornet.

Okay, now I feel a bit silly. I was very probably standing on that bridge while taking the guided tour of the Hornet's superstructure, back in 2002 or so. In my defense, there were probably 15 or 20 other people in the group cluttering up the view somewhat, but still...
