This thread just got weird.
Looks like the Black Series (3.75") Wave 3 Revision case assortment planned for Europe (and possibly North America) is still foisting stuff that nobody wants on retailers and buyers. This might just be a case assortment designed specifically for the European market to meet European demands, but this is still the third or fourth case breakdown in a row with Biggs, Anakin and the Biker Scout in the mix.
People don't need nor even seem to want more of these guys. Even the Biker Scout is lingering on the pegs and going unwanted by the buying public, and that's something you rarely if ever heard said about Hasbro's 3.75" Biker Scout figures not all that long ago. No Mara. No Pablo Jill. No Luminara Unduli. No Padmé. No Merumeru the big Wookiee. Not even Mace Windu.
1x Clone Trooper Sergeant
1x Anakin Skywalker
1x Biggs Darklighter
1x Luke Skywalker
1x Darth Vader
1x Biker Scout
1x 41st Elite Corps Clone Trooper
1x Clone Commander Neyo
1 x Darth Plagueis
Sure, some of these are good choices - but many aren't, and assortments like these aren't helping the hobby nor sales. Let's hope Wave 4 (The Empire Strikes Back) looks a lot better than this one and finally sheds the excess fat and gristle.
ThankQ's Best Laugh of the Day award.
I'm thrilled that she's coming with an alternate Avengers style head, too. Looks like Hasbro realizes they pissed off a lot of people by neglecting her in that line. It's ridiculous how they made every member of the team but her. It's great to know that my movie Avengers will be complete, and I can move the comic Black Widow that I have filling in back to my Marvel Heroes shelf.
Speaking of the Captain America line, I picked up another one of the comic based figures currently on the shelf. Here's the modern Captain America figure. I gotta say, this thing is pretty damn definitive. I don't have a single complaint. It's great to see quality so consistent in a line:
That Captain looks incredible. That just might be the best Captain America action figure I've ever seen in any scale.
Yeah, for the modern look it's really hard to do much better than that. I still think that Toybiz's Cap from the Face-Off Two-Packs remains pretty definitive for the classic look, though:
I've been debating whether to pick him up if I see him. I like that this version is actually Goldbug, but I'm undecided about the vehicle mode since it's more of a copy of an existing Bumblebee. Not that G1 Goldbug had that problem...
I should have said Hawkeye.
Meanwhile, the hobbits have the phone box:
Good and Evil Bilbo have discovered my TARDIS jewelry box.
In not-quite-as-cute collectible news, here's Sideshow's brand new Darth Vader from their 1:6 scale, limited edition Lords of the Sith line:
He comes with his helmet and dome, but even if he didn't this would be one awesome release.
Scored some brand new (and I mean brand new) stuff at Toys "R" Us and Walmart earlier today. Now I'm almost completely caught up on 3.75" Black Series figures. So glad I can mark almost all of both Waves 2 and 3 off my want list.
Mara Jade and Darth Plagueis are gonna be pretty tough to find on these local pegs.
Sorry the pics aren't as sharp as I wanted. My smartphone is a pretty recent and good model but the resolution on some of these shots don't transfer well to Facebook and Photobucket.
Keep your eyes open, guys. Given all the carry forwards and pegwarmers from Wave 1 these guys will be hot and scarce for a good long while.
I got bored, and decided to begin an action figure comic. I've got a plotline planned out here. More to come on an as I feel like it basis:
I just nerdgasmed. Big time.
Oh dear Rao....this is gonna be awesome!
Well thanks, guys. Here's a little more since you were so nice:
This is already ten times better than Assimilation Squared!
OdoWan and KM always make this place shine.
So... none of the characters are wondering why the other two groups of people are scaled differently?
