It's that time of year again! Welcome to the 2017 Valentine's Day Extravaganza! Once again Kestra and I will be playing Cupid, and we're looking forward to sharing your messages of friendship, admiration and love across our board.
For those of you unfamiliar with our Valentine's Day Extravaganza, the idea is that on your behalf Kestra and I send virtual flowers and a note (if you wish; there's no need to include one) to another TBBS board member on February 14th. It could be someone you admire, someone you appreciate as a friend, or even someone on whom you have a crush. Your message can be anonymous if you wish; just let us know. It's been very popular and a lot of fun in previous years, and everyone, seasoned pros and rookies, is welcome to partake.
So, here are the all-important rules:
PM Kestra or me by midnight on the 12th GMT, and on the 14th we'll send your choice of "flowers" with or without a note to the person or people of your choosing.
Please provide the following:
a. Your recipient's username(s).
b. What color of (digital) flowers to send them. Choose one from red (love), white (admiration), yellow (friendship), or pink (crush) per recipient. Repeat: Choose one.
c. A note from you (if you wish). The note can only be a written message and not a picture or a gif or something like that. Your Cupids really enjoy running the Extravaganza but anything other than written notes slows down an already very busy event for us, and you do not want Kestra and/or me to become grumpy. Trust me.
d. Whether you'd like us to include your username or stay anonymous.
Feel free to send flowers to up to five people, with one bunch of flowers per recipient. This is all in good fun and has been a great success in previous years, so let's make this year's Extravaganza even better!
TBBS's Annual Valentine's Day Extravaganza: the non-consumerist, calorie-free alternative to chocolates and real flowers.
(Just a note those Valentine haters who have squatted on previous Valentine's Day Extravaganza threads before: take your mutterings elsewhere. They don't belong in this thread. This event is fun, lighthearted, and built on friendship more than romantic love. If you can't say something nice in this thread, don't say anything at all. Got it?)
