    That doesn't make any sense. Speeches are written works and thus have copyright. Recordings and videos of speeches are themselves copyrighted, too. It doesn't matter what venues they've appeared in.

    I find it silly that you can give out something for free to millions of people then expect to have control over the way it's used. You are legally correct, but I find that law to be silly.

    So if a band gives away 1000 copies of their latest album, no one else should have to pay for it, either?
