    I know.

I've read some worrying stuff about British ST conventions, and truth be told we poms couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, but surely we have to get it right at least once?

Looks like Jason Joiner is running this event. Mr "Serial Weekend Convention Cancellation Specialist". He's already cancelled his own Trek event twice in the last two years.

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. :klingon:

Ticket prices are a laugh anyway. Doubt this event will happen. Joiner's not capable of getting Trek guests over for an event. He's only in this for himself, and will shit all over Media 10 just as he did with Fedcon about 5 years ago.

Would that be BarSteward? Sorry, that's Shatner.

The most Trek Captains you've seen on stage together will probably still be two by the end of October!

Then you've just saved yourself £900. Be happy! :bolian:

Plus you've saved yourself 6 months of worrying about whether or not this event will actually happen, and if you'll ever see your money again when it gets cancelled!

£900???!!!! That would buy a driveable second-hand car!!

I'd expect a blow job from all five Captains for that kind of money.

They should do it for free. There's no need for money in the 23rd Century and beyond.

Just to clarify, £900 is the lowest price ticket that will get you in person autographs from the 5 captains. I think the £299 tickets get you in to the 5 seperate captains talks.

Whole thing looks like a massive piss take. I hope it dies on its arse. UK fans don't deserve to be taken to the cleaners like this.

There's a line in the ticket T&C over at Shamasters that says "Should any individual captain be unable to attend the show a substitute talk/autograph will be provided."

So if one or more of the captains doesn't show up (quite likely), people who've spent £900 to get ALL 5 of their signatures in person, as no other lower priced ticket entitles the holder to this, won't get a refund. Just a £5 worth signature of some 1 episode C lister from Joiner's store cupboard.

I have a word for this event. It begins with S, has a C, an A, and an M in it.

Sounds awfully expensive, the phrase "Rip Off" comes to mind.

How are you arriving at the £900 figure? What's to stop people from purchasing a regular entrance ticket for £30 and buying 5 tickets for the captain's autographs (probably £30-40 each) ?

£900 is the lowest priced entrance ticket that gives you confirmed access to the in person captain autographs. As yet there's no evidence that single autograph tickets will be available on the day. Of course Shamasters are intimating they will be, but then this company has said an awful lot of things over the years. If single auto tickets are available, you can only dream about getting Shatner and Stewart for £30-£40 each at a CBS officially sanctioned event. In 2003 at London Creation, Shatner was £65. Stewart is I think around $80 at Creation events in the US which are CBS licenced.

The £900 could be the top ticket level.
